- A game can be given to a friend ONCE and then blocked from every been shared again... meaning that the game would be married to the second console for life.

- The game is traded through a participating establishment; effectively starting the cycle over again (and passing money back to MS, the Publisher and the Dev).

1 - Halo as a franchise is more successful than any singular franchise on the PS3 (Combined comment is wrong) and GT has sold more when you consider cross gen. Further Sony and MS is on par when you consider total games sold (Sony has more variation).
2 - Dark Souls is popular without question 1.5 to 2 mill for Dark souls sells on both consoles.. but not mainstream 90% of my friends list cant play it. A-Creed, Borderlands, B-Field or Call of Du...

There is no Console War.. However if you are speaking to the wining of the 'Console Count War'... Then:
1 -Sony had and Has more exclusive than MS
2 -I love Demon/Dark Souls (plated) However, they are no Main Stream. MSG is now Multiplatform
3 - Sony is universally accepted as second place (behind the WII) in console and game sales for this gen (world ..not USA/NPD)
4 - MS is Shooting themselves in the foot ...
