Don't judge man.
Keep in mind that we all play games for a reason. Sure, the large majority is fun; others for escape and others a combination of both. The trophies/achievement component is gravy. Satisfying the completionist in many of us.
I have a large number of plats, obtained by me ... for me. I couldn't care less what anyone else thought/thinks about them. However, I do enjoy the fellowship of other gamers who share my enthusiasm.

Don't Starve is the exception.
and it's not Sony's fault.
The developer (Klei Entertainment) has made it very clear that they hate Trophy/Achievement requirements.
The only reason trophies exist on the PS4 version is because Sony enforced it. - In turn Klei presented the bare minimum number of trophies that Sony would allow (note that they Klei did not launch achievements on Steam).
To make sure that they (Klie) had the last world. Klei...
Incorrect.
Why does Hotline Miami have a plat (pretty cheap)?
or CSI or Hannah Montana (Multiplates pretty cheap when released)? There are so many others.
Further:
The article outlines a fair amount of requirements for the platinum. It also confirms that the guidelines are pretty clear to the developers going in.
The platinum requirements can not be obtained in one hour nor without fantastic skill.
That/err your logic would work if the population was a stagnant number.
In short that Wii, PS3 and Xbox360 are all within a throw of the PS2's total sell through numbers.
Where did the extra 200 million purchasers come from?
In short, its called market growth and Sony is ahead (from a PS3 perspective) of where they were with PS2. This does not consider the ground breaking sells associated with the PS4.
If you're a poster...
Ummm.... "He" is worth hundreds of millions. "He" is allowed to burn MS bridges if he chooses.
However out side of that very simplistic argument; Do you understand who and what Valve/Gabe is and what they represent to the market?
My hope lie with Sony on this. Sega has confirmed that they are not getting the ROI that they would like to drive the effort of localization on existing Yakuza titles while in preparation or production of new Yakuza titles (as all Yakuza fans know...The team is always in development/working on new Yakuza titles).
The good news is that Sony has said (in the past two months) that this is one of the games that they are looking at for a EU/US localization collaboration with Sega.
Glad to hear that. Coincidentally, my 7 year old daughter just helped me beat the very hard mode last night. I love that metal Knack or as she calls it "little cutie Knack" has healing abilities. She's learned to be quite thoughtful in how and when to heal me. And it never gets old to hear her say "Dad.. you better let me handle this... stay back or we're going to have to start over!"
Knack is a wonderful game that delivers on exactly what it p...
Re:ME
The people who complain were the people who invested considerable hours and money in the franchise as well as the promises of the developers.
These people are also the folks who help make the franchise a social footprint on the game market. They have a right to complain, protest and request. Consumers are never entitled.
Keep this in mind when bringing up ME in the future. Cheers :)
I played the UK game.
Then I follow that with Killzone.
No surprise here.
I'm not a fan of digital only, however, I haven't bought a physical disc for a pc game in years. And my most recent purchase of COD ghost was from PSN.
Get a PS4 and future proff yourself.
Further, no other nextgen console has more games in development for 2014 and beyond. You should already know Sony's history on exclusives. Lastly there's that PS+ thing.
Your choice. Have fun :)
Looks really good ... not talk about the buttocks in the pic (although that isn't bad as well)
The game (gamplay, story, graphics and presentation) is very well put together. It's Cage's finest game...and it's surprisingly enjoyable through the end.
Whether you pick it up now or later you will not be disappointed.
It's fact that sony makes around $2.25 for every blu-ray drive sold.
Reported by business new outlets over the past few years as well as Patch Attack more recently (I know I spelled his name wrong) Attack.
Look it up. It's google knowledge.
:)
Please note that we (as consumers ) purchase the OS as part of the built in component of the computer. Every PC on the market has the same pricing model whether it's HP, IBM, Alien or Sony. Other OS are simply not as user intuitive or integrated into the social or business exchange vocabulary.
Microsoft's OS and Windows products are their bread and butter, representing the very large majority of their corporate earnings. This has been the case since the 80's.
Spoilers folks.
Be warned. ..or simply read the first few.
Great interview. Very happy that edge didn't shy away from the big questions.
There is a chance for Western localization, however resources, time and current priorities are in the way.
- Y5 is much larger than Y4 and as such would have a lengthy localization ( fast tracking once resources are available)
...my hope.
It's obvious that you did not see the quality TGS live demo feed. Have fun with that comparison.
@ isa_scout
Hey man, Sorry for the confusion.
My comment was directed at Bub16. The game in question is/was Resogun.
