Funny!
In a good sportsmanship kind of way :)
Sounds like you are/were playing it like a 'Hack n Slash' (Dragon Age II style).
There was only one area on the map that gave me trouble ( I simply was not carrying enough curatives) and that was the upper right corner; in pursuit of the griffin. The Bandits in the high cliffs were problematic. I will admit that I had mid to low level gear as well.
The only faults I will lay to this gems feet is that the may story line is not clearly distinguis...
Glad to hear that you are enjoying it.
Its a very nuanced. Carefully crafted within a very individualized word (not cut and past environment here)
I just fought a Golem and it was absolutely amazing.
By far one of the best RPGs released this gen.
But... the score is fair. So I digress.
Very lacking review - I'm not sure if the author fully embraced the game (through mid way) or fully understands the genius associated with the Pawn system.
This is *one* of the most complete RPGs release this gen.. hands down.
That my friend, is one true statement!
My wife just puts her hands on her hips.....to which I typically respond "just give me a fee more minutes (little lie), I just have to finish this quest!"
Do it!
Very very good game and great RPG.
Thanks I see your points -
However I think we are talking *unclear* semantics.
I was focusing on Style of game play -
That is, the connotation associated with WRPG vs JRPG rests with style not location of developer.
For example:
- Eternal Sonata will always be considered a JRPG (Linear in nature, progressive character/weapon growth anime *like* graphics)
- Skyrim/DA Origins would fall into the WRPG style of game play ...
@Lucretia.
We know it was created by a Japanese developer and that its an RPG,
However, please tell me why its not in the WRPG bucket as opposed to the JRPG bucket.
Just trying to understand you point.
Cheers!
Your spot on.
I was just short of saying that.
Unfortunately, I'm a little turn.
With respect to fantasy WRPGs:
- No one does combat mechanics/weapon wight better than dark souls; but its not truly a WRPG is it.
- DA Origins had the best WRPG story presentation, however the fighting mechanics were very lacking.
- The Witcher 2 was awesome;very beautiful with some pretty interesting creatures, but la...
This site gets it.
30 Hours in; I can not understand how anyone can 'objectively' give Dragon's Dogma anything less than an 8/10.
The game is an RPGers wet dream. The verity of creatures coupled with the atmosphere, landscape, mission, NPC acting, customization and Fighting/magic mechanics completely outshine Dragon age 2
** Added Dragon Age 2 purely for a relative comparison **
(and pushes darn close the DA origins from a total...
SKYRIM says hi.
The controls are fine. 20 hrs in, I can not understand why this game isn't getting the due praise it deserves.
Very awesome game!
GTA + Yakuza = Sleeping Dogs. ... And that's not a bad thing!
Already bought! !
Rhythmic dance battle system.
I will make sure she kicks everyones butt!!!!
I can't wait for the US release!
Very good! And spot on!
You and i are in agreement.
I thought he was awesome as well...more tactical with great finishes.
Wait!! O_o..
I agreed with you first statement, gave you an agree that .... and then read you second comments.
Dang!!
Y3 Might have been a slight tear jerker.
But, Y4 is a completely wonderful story. Very very well done. Take your time and invest in the sub-stories.
Follow a guide if you need to and enjoy the ride!
I have a Sony preference.
I appreciate the quality of their products and the diversity of games available on the PS3.
I own or have owned every gaming platform post 1986 (started gaming in 78).
I prefer gaming on the PS3/PC as well as PSV/3DS.
The above is a qualifier for the following statement :
Sony would be incredibly absent not to drop the price of the PSV within the next quarter. The market directs cost/consumption and it may be to gre...
