Really hope they are addressing the plot-holes within the changes as part of the DLC release.
- It would help if the release is free as a good-will gesture ( although I'm not holding my breath).
.. The fake Shepard/EDI/Catalyst synthetic (in a post Mass Relay system) is a hot mess.
If true, I don't see how Bioware brings this together. So sad...
@Lucreto
You and the author of the piece are two very miss informed individuals.
Try reading up on why there is such an uprising.

Oh.. and by the way, it has nothing to do with Shepard dying.
Thanks man. I have no problem stating that I am a Yakuza fan; and will be picking this up in a couple of weeks.
The explosion of the Alpha Mass Relay in the Arrival DLC destroyed the entire Bahak system (several distant plaints) including 300,000 Batarians.
To your point to each his own.. however (from a gaming perspective), I didn't create the ME universe and the laws (with in the game) that bind the plausible reality together; Bioware did. People are upset because Bioware turned the progressive ME universe upside down with no explanation (among other things).
This!
What is this... a review/commentary site that actually gets it? Why yes it is.
Very good read. Please take the time to check it out.
Choices mattered in ME2.
Bioware promised that your choices would compound into 16 varied outcomes in ME3.
@adorie
Fourth person bitching?
No worries, I know what you were trying to say.
So you are cool with synthetics creating synthetics to kill organics so that they (highly evolved organics) do not create synthetics that will kill them.....
Or
maybe you are ok with the mass relays exploding in multiple systems killing hundreds of billions of life forms ...including the the earth and the alien races that Shepherd brought with him?
Remember folks .... people are not upset at the sad ending, they are upset at the nonsensical and loosely pulled...
From a gaming perspective (in the world of ME):
Whither the relay impact is associated with (uncontrolled) destruction or purposeful destruction, the relays were in fact (immediately) destroyed and the immediate release of that much mass effect would cause devastation across the system.
The author should take the time to read/understand the issues before expressing his opinion. I would argue that if bioware/EA had artistic integrity and intestinal fortitude, they would have delayed the game to deliver the story in context with what they promised/intended.
Let it vent. Let the process unfold. Remember that developers set expectations for consumers. Through the expectations and previous purchases, a mutual trust relationship is built between the consumer and developer. From a gaming perspective; without either, each release of a game will be presented as a new IP.
If the game doesn't delivery on the structural promises outlined by the developer (including 5 years of invested lore and universal rules within the game),
And don't forget about the mass relay explosions.
As we learned from the Arrival DLC; a single mass relay explosion will create enough force to wipe out an entire system. Its the only reason the commander is stuck on earth at the beginning of ME3. His actions in the Arrival DLC (destroying the mass relay to slow down the reapers) resulted in the death of hundreds of millions of Betarinins (forgive the spelling...I sent this from my phone)
Try 1 to 1.5 million ps3 owner... other than the 60 thousand comment, you're spot on!
Play the games. Their all great. While your at it ... read what the complaints are. It's not because the game ended on a sad note; it is because Bioware did not delivery on the several documented promises of tiered decision based outcomes (carried over from ME1 and ME2) ..as well as the clearly, rushed purposfully non intergated/incomplete ending.
In short the CAL is a bit much. However, folks should take the time to understand why there is so much angst over this...
Very good!
People are not upset because of the 'sad/bad' ending.. they are upset at the lazy universe breaking plot holes and idiotically written final 10 minutes of the game.
If Boiware wants to kill everyone.. that's fine; just do it with the same care and critical plot placement that they poured into ME1, ME2 and 99% of ME3.
..and I will be waiting until DA3 is thoroughly vetted by the community before spending my 60 bucs again.
Yep. I also took his statement of "gaming everywhere" as a multi platform declaration.
I will be happy to pick this up for me (and my kids ) if it comes to the PS3.
I hope your right.
Plus bub for intelligent thought on N4G... something that’s hard to come by.
I hope you are right!
