It has been perfectly playable for like 2 years now. Why would it be downgraded to the point of being unplayable, for the final release? I assure you 102% it will be fine at launch. There is no possible way it could end up unplayable in the final release unless they scrap the entire project and start over from scratch.
Vaas has great voice acting but as far as the character is concerned, i was itching to put a hole between his eyes 5 seconds after he shows up in the intro scene. He is annoying and even more bat sh!t than me. As for my favorite character in the game, that would be Sam Becker by far. That dude was just plain fun.
You won't have to stick with old anything. Popsloader for the PSP was proof of that. Once the 3DS is completely opened by hackers, they will be able to create software to spoof new fw versions so you will be able to play anything and even access the eShop. Nintendo cannot win.
Funny, i posted in another article a few weeks ago that the XBone would pass the WiiU in sales before Christmas and i got a ton of disagrees. ~3 weeks later and FYITYS.
Besides the PC version having better textures, much better lighting, higher resolution, higher framerates, better AA, better AF, a wider FOV and most likely a much longer draw distance (hard to tell from any of those screens), but yeah sure, the PS4 version totally looks better.
Probably because it averaged 22fps on both and had constant drops as low as 11fps. Fun game but horrible optimization on consoles.
@sinspirit:
The general rule of thumb for emulation is 8x compute power. That rule does not change with a more complex architecture like the PS3s Cell. It just requires more complex code to get x86 to interpret it. Modern CNO gaming rigs are ~60x more powerful than the PS3 (~7-8x the power of a PS4). A $200 GTX 660 is 1.83 TFLOPS which is about 7.6x more powerful than the PS3s theoretical peak performance of 240 GFLOPS (A performance level it has never come close to reaching)...
@timmyp53:
It isn't really anything to do with computing power. Even a midrange ~$800 gaming PC can already technically emulate the PS3 a couple times over. It is just creating the code to get x86 to understand the Cell CPU. Cell has a very unique and complex architecture which isn't easy to code for even natively, let alone trying to emulate it on x86. The Sega Saturn still hasn't been well emulated yet for the same reason and it is 19 years old.
2 massive clips like that right in front of the playable characters is not "nitpicking".
Sometimes fanboys are just so exited for something that they cannot accept any critisism, no matter how blatantly obvious and true it is.
Overall it looks incredible but to deny the issues it has will only lead to more EAs/Ubisofts, etc. Once a developer starts thinking nobody cares about issues, they start putting less effort into working out those issues.
Cloud as in the character. Prompto looks exactly like Cloud.
As for the clipping, how the hell could you have missed the 2 airships flying right into the ground and disappearing like 100 feet infront of the characters. I'm not trying to find anything, i watched the video through once with positive expectations and clearly saw the issues, so i pointed them out.
@n4rc:
Problem is, those are not the right numbers.
Sony has sold through a little over 13m systems to the end user. MS has only shipped 10m to retailers, their actual sold through number is aprox 6.8m
MS isn't catching up at all. The gap is getting wider every month.
3:47 Invisible wall?
4:52 Cloud?
9:50 ROFL clipping right into the ground.
@Webbyy:
People say the XBone has crushed blacks when it has crushed blacks. Overshadowing to the point of masking textural detail is not "colorful".
In this instance though, the XBone version is actually quite washed out which is very unusual. abzdiine is correct in calling it "foggy".

It is still a bit difficult to tell for sure. We also do not know if every bit of the area in the city picture is openly explorable or if it is mostly just backdrop. It would be nice if they did an overlay similar to what Kojima did with MGS5. Scale vs past FF game worlds.
IV, VI, IX & XII were all better so i guess they can do the remake now.
Yeah, that is not a legit reason. All they have to do is have a "previously known as" or "aliases" list attached to profiles and right below the main player ID for a set time after a name change. Just like Steam has been doing for like 5 years now. How can Sony be so behind the times and so slow at thinking up the obvious?
-Show both new and old names for 30 days after a change.
-Limit name changes to once every 6 months.
-Create a player r...
ROFL. So if it is AMDs fault then explain how the PC version also runs like shart, even when running on Nvidia hardware.
Quit passing the blame Ubisoft. Just admit that you suck balls and couldn't even code an SOS.
Ezz2013:
Lol yeah, they delivered on all 4 of those despite the fact that 2 of them are in direct conflict.
But then the remaining 10% time is 10x more fun.
Seriously though. It took me about 2 days to download, unpack and recombine a 20GB pack with over 260 different texture/mesh/parallax mods then install and sort them along with about 50 other non visual mods. I'v put in over 600 hours of actual gameplay so far and i still haven't made it through all the content.
There is nothing scientific about it. That is a bogus myth that has been passed around by people who have zero understanding of resolution and pixel density. It has just been passed off as fact for so long that some people are starting to actually believe it is backed up by science. There is a very noticable difference between native 1080p and 4k, even on my 27" monitor. Youtube still compresses the hell out of stuff though which is why you cannot really see a difference there. It is the...
