Is OnLive $4.95 per month after the first two years or is the $15 the official price? I ask because several websites say that the $4.95 price is a founding members special price and after the special the price will jump to around $15.
It would be great if OnLive sold the games like Steam does and have an optional download. It would make me less concerned about not having physical media and OnLive will still get its cut on every game sold.
The move actually impressed me today. With two wands I was hoping for an Elder Scrolls V reveal. One move controller controlling the sword and the other the shield would have been great. The game Sorcery proved to me that an Elder Scrolls Move game would be possible and fun at the same time.
I'm too old to be playing a DS but I used to play Golden Sun 1 & 2 on the GBA when I was younger. The sequel looks good but the three dimensional characters was a mistake. It's sad that the GBA Golden Sun games looked better graphically. Still fortuntely the game was also known for its size, length, and amazing story.
Instead of Kingdom Hearts Square surprises everyone with Final Fantasy VII (I can dream can't I?)
Second, they announce the PSP2. I believe this will happen because the PSP is dead in North America and the Nintendo 3DS is going to be revealed. The big 3 will most likely show their next gen consoles next year with a release one year after in 2012. So if Sony doesn't show the PSP2 it will be a crowded 2011(announcement) and an crowded 2012 (release).
Sometimes I wonder if companies pay people to hype their products and say the high price point is good or if people are just idiots. Don't get me wrong it's a great product but I fail to see why having a high price point is great, it doesn't do that much that the PS2 eyetoy couldn't.
It's like the people who complain that they don't want the DLC included in the game like it used to be. No they say they would rather spend the money on stupid DLC horse...

SquareEnix is led by Wada and he is obviously trying to "Westernize" SquareEnix and make a quick buck and sacrificing quality.
The japanese have always prized quality which they learned how to do from the USA 60 years ago. I just tire from thinking about how many American companies have lost this business ethic. I have not lost interest. As long as SquareEnix Japan continues to make japanese games and as long as Final Fantasy is not developed by the western SquareEnix studios. I am willing to give it a chance if it's a new IP. If it's a remake of a JRPG classic though, them im worried until they prove me wrong.
Sorry I spoiled the game. It's just so many of the games I mentioned were over ten years old and Crisis Core didn't sell too well in the USA because it's a PSP game. I'm sorry though and will provide more warning in my future posts.

FFXIII's story was mostly crap. It focused more on emotions of a girl prancing around like a fairy princess (Vanille), a mamma's boy (Hope), and saving Snow's fiancee (who the player had no emotional attachment to, and if she died nobody playing the game would shed a tear). The only motivation to keep a player interested is that they will all die by becoming Lcie. Now everyone knows the characters won't die...no urgency.
Now compare that to FFVI- Your a huma...
Square the only reason I play your games is for the story! It's why I loved FFVI, VII, X, and Kingdom Hearts. And it's the ONLY reason I loved Crisis Core (What a game ending to that one).
I don't like the idea of dishing out cash and not getting a copy. My abiliity to play is dependent on my ability to manage enough money to pay for highspeed internet and pay $15 per month(ex:OnLive which is $600 over four years. Way more than the cost to own a console). For a poor college student who gets half his paycheck taken by the government taxes and social security....its way less than minimum wage!

Unless they offer a bare bones (optional!) package with no phone capabilities I wont be happy. Just imagine the smart phone fees associated with owning one. Over the course of three years it would cost about $600 ($15-20 per month for it being classified as a smart phone).
I think a PSP2 phone is a Great Idea as long is it's optional package and I don't always have to go purchase the latest PSP2 hardware to play newer games (like you have to with cell phones)
I LOVE Bioware but I would be afraid of Bioware Americanizing the JRPG Final Fantasy too much. Also Bioware always likes to move on to new IP's (ex:Knights of the old Republic (the mmo doesn't count), Jade Empire, and Mass Effect(a trilogy)). I would also be concerned about the game maybe not lasting 50-100 hours.
But I do AGREE that Bioware would create an epic story.

I never was into Kingdom Hearts but that will be fine with me too.
As long as Square Enix puts all of the traditional Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior/Quest V elements in the new RPG I will be HAPPY. (ex: Exploration, a Traditional battle system with some of the action showed in FFXIII (think Chrono Trigger), and a good story will actually be a pleasant change)

Hardware isn't that important but when the entire game is like a narrow corridor with no exploration (pulse doesn't count) in comparison to all 12 Final Fantasy's before it, you know something is wrong.

By going multi there will be cut content and less quality. While making money is important(a plus to multi) Square should be more concerned by their reputation. I mean most people consider Final Fantasy X to be the last good game from Square and it came out almost 10 years ago! That's proof that the only reason Square is still afloat is their reputation and the hope that they will once again create a game equivalent to FFVI,VII,X, and maybe one with a story equivalent to FFVII:Crisis Core...
