Was nothing in comparison to its predecessors. None of the songs moved me or had me humming the song. I can't wait to play Dissidia 2 so everyone will be able to listen to all of the greatest songs of FF and say wow XIII was a stinker. (In comparison)
Looks amazing. There have been several articles about ray-tracing and they all say the same thing, the future looks sweet. In fact there are several companies trying to make this more efficient and easier to use for devs.
I only have one question: How much development time will this add to games? I don't feel like waiting 10 years for Gran Turismo 6 or Final Fantasy. I would rather sacrifice graphics in favor of a better story and longetivity.
1. HD output to a HDTV
2. Online downloads that actually depreciate over time like in a store or a return of flash media so that the battery isn't drained
3. Better games and more RPG's
4. Easy to develop for = more games
5. Longer battery life
6. Enough space to save games and some music (32MB was pitiful)
7. Better web browser, watch youtube
8. An aluminum finish like the back of the Ipod
9. Better placement of ...
Don't worry mock designs have been coming out for every console generation for years. I have yet to see one come close to the real thing.
HD isn't really necessary on a portable but it will allow output to a HDTV much like the Zune HD. Who doesn't want to play a great portable game on the HDTV (for me it's crisis core).
If there is no HDTV output then it's just added fluff and Sony would be wiser in upping the contrast ratio, brightness, etc. of the screen instead.
I say it's fluff because the pixels will be so small that the average person will not be able to tell the diff. betw...
My top ten:
1) Final Fantasy VI
2) Chrono Trigger
3) Donkey Kong Country
4) Final Fantasy IV
5) Conkers Bad Fur Day
6) Final Fantasy VII
7) Majora's Mask/Ocarina of Time
8) Metal Gear Solid
9) Dragon Quest:Maboroshi no Daichi (must use a ROM to play in English, it's an Enix game)
10) Golden Sun & GS: The lost age remade for a console
I wouldn't be surprised if Apple did buy Sony though. Think about all of the equipment, patents, etc. that Sony owns.
You're right. Fable 2 was like LOTR with flintlock pistols and it kinda ruined the magic of the original. I don't understand why so many companies create a great IP then try to modernize it. I mean who wants another shooter?
Some of the humor of the original was also lost.
Not only 2 analog sticks but good games is a must! After 5 years I have only bought three games for my PSP. RPG's is a must.
By the way is the screen 1 inch larger than the launch PSP or the PSP Go?
I understand if it's Digital Distribution due to used game sales but I also don't like the facts that prices normally don't depreciate. For example the prices on the psn and xbox live rarely depreciate with time like in a store. If prices depreciate with time then I'm for it.
A memory stick would be great to so I could listen to my music but after all of the piracy on the original PSP I would understand if it isn't included.
My top five:
1. Zack Fair "What is your dream"? Zack's answer:"to become a hero"
2. Terra
3. Cloud Strife
4. Cecil Harvey
5. Tidus
Bonus
My top five villians:
1. Kefka
2. Sephiroth
3. Ultros
4. Jecht
5. Angeal Hewley
READ a History book. Japan learned to build quality from us and when you combine that with their history = a strong work ethic. In the late 50's and early 60's American quality took a dive in favor of profits. Ever hear "they don't build them like they used to"???????????
Why do you think Honda's Civics would last 180,000+ but with an American Ford you are lucky if it goes above 100,000 (especially in the 1990's).
I learned t...
I thought to myself when I bought FFXIII "can't be worse then XII"....I cried tears of anger after. Thanks a lot Wada.
I only hope Nomura can save Final Fantasy.
Yep they truly westernized. The said "lets screw quality and maximize profits" and like most American companies they can't figure out why they have such a bad rep and dipping profits after such booming sales.
Sad to think that after WWII we taught them that strong work ethic of perfection when we helped rebuild Japan. Sadly decades after we Americans have lost this work ethic and now Square Enix is following in our footsteps in "Westernizing". F^&...
I kinda got them fixed for free. It cost me $50 for the BestBuy warranty. When one RROD I would go in and walk out 15 min later with a new one. When I was on my sixth I convinced BestBuy to give me my money back for a PS3 Slim. Happy ever since.
You're kidding right? RIGHT? It wouldn't melt it would Red Ring like my first five 360's!!!
P.S. I bought it at launch = many RROD's
I think the guy who wrote this article is on crack! lol
I have not but I wish I did. In the 4 years that I have owned mine I have only bought 2 games and I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I hope Sony comes out with better games for the PSP2.
Awesome Hardware but the majority of the games suck (not all but most)
Go back and look at Fable 1. Ok done that? Now make good on every promise made all those years ago (salt and pepper shakers of doom, a truly open world like Oblivion, competition between heroes, etc.)
P.S. It's probably just me but I don't like how the series is becoming more and more modern. It loses the magic of the original. It's like making LOTR with flintlock pistols (in my opinion).
I can't see a difference when it comes to screenshots. GT5 is way better when it comes to video though. It looks less washed out, sharper, better trees, grass, etc.
