Hopefully it's mostly games and not statistics or PS Home/PS2 sales.
Makes me wonder if their is going to be announcing the PS4 to compete with Nintendo's Project Cafe and beat Microsoft to the next gen market.
5 hours is just way too long to be just the PS3, NGP and PSN (PSP is almost dead anyway).

Yes, Crisis core with improved side missions. But I hope the main story stays intact.
This is why I feared the EA and Bioware partnership. I feared EA pressuring Bioware for mass market appeal = profits. There is no doubt that Biowares games are still good but they have slowly been changing and becoming less and less RPG like. For example Dragon age II and now Mass Effect 3. Dragon age II was way too simple and Mass Effect 2 saw a mass removal of customization.
Their games are still pretty good but I miss the customization and RPG like feel of their older g...

I call BS. I and many others are happy and don't mind the down time. "Why?" you ask. It's because the PSN is free! Why should I be reimbursed for something that is free. I'm not saying I wouldn't mind getting something for it but Sony doesn't "need" to do anything.

Happy it's coming out this console generation. It's been so many years since Oblivion.
As long as a new Elder Scrolls is released within the first two years of the new generation of consoles release I will be happy.

vid isn't mindblowing but it looks much better if you view it at 480p+ on youtube...much higher vid quality.
Not a bad engine for launch and as with all video game systems graphics will improve with time.
So true. I know that as technology advances gains will become more and more minimal but it's ridiculous this console generation. More and more PC games are being held back by consoles.
For example I just got done playing Mass Effect 1 & 2 and it's identical to the console versions! Even the hair looks static and plasticy just like KOTOR and the grass...it's still crabgrass!
I don't expect the difference to be phenomenal but at least ...
Yeah round objects and how about grass that looks like GRASS. I'm sick of seeing games with a plain green solid field and crab-grass spaced out every 2 feet. I want a field of grass and hair that looks like hair and not the plasticy stuff I see when I play Mass Effect or other high end games.
It's sad when the hair and grass hasn't improved much in 5-6 years.

Now how many of those Xbox 360 sales were repurchases due to the Red Ring of Death. I bought one at launch and went through six of them (Fortunately I bought the Best Buy Warranty).

No. No. No. JRPG's have not lost appeal. The last good JRPG was X. XII was a mixture of JRPG and MMO and XIII was a disgrace to RPG's and JRPG's.
JRPG's decline are due to crappy games not lack of appeal! Just look at Versus XIII, demand for a Final Fantasy VI/VII rema...
XII. As boring as it was its story was better than XIII, it had interactions with NPC's, better (but not good) battle system than XIII, and exploration. Also as whimpy and pointless as Vaan and Penelo were they sure beat the hell out of Hope and Vanille.
I think the pinnacle of Square's success was IV, VI, VII, and X.
PSP2 (NGP) Being able to play many PS3 games is a major plus for me. Then the NGP games on top of that is why the PSP2 is for me.
NDS - I have great respect for Nintendo but no. I'm too old to own this. I haven't played pokemon since PKMN Crystal came out.

Nobody thinks the name 360 or Wii is dumb because they are now successful and people are used to the names.
