Don't forget the leveled loot. It's sad when I go into 20 awesome ruins and end up with a apple and a worthless ring. I wish the enemies didn't level with me and the loot wasn't random. That way I would feel like there was a purpose to keep playing like in Morrowind.
In Morrowind there was always a tougher enemy and some that you didn't dare f#@k with until the end of the game, no matter how shiny and pretty their sword and armor was(because of the fact...
Awesome I can't wait. The only gripe I have with the game is its updated graphics. The old 2D style looked so much better. When the DS has graphics similar to the N64 and PS1 using 2D backgrounds would have been better. I mean even Square at the time had enough brains to make all of the PS1 Final Fantasy's backgrounds in 2D.
Depends on how it's done. If it's identical to Oblivion and Morrowind and the only difference is that it's MASSIVE with other characters you get to play with then yes. If they change the combat system, make it like WOW, The Old Republic, etc. then no.
Also so that there's no confusion if they charge a monthly fee then forget everything I said above. The answer is hell no I don't want an MMO.
I remember when PGR4 came out with bikes and it sort of ruined the game. The bikes were way too fast and could turn corners way better than the cars and made it unbalanced.
Now if it were like the go-karts that GT5 has and it's only go-karts vs. go-karts and bikes vs. bikes then I'm all for it.
I video looks so good that I feel like crying every time I watch it. It's torturing me because I don't even know when I will get my hands on it with all of the delays.
We the fans are scared of FF Versus sucking but have hope because of Nomura. The creator of Kingdom Hearts with the staff that created FFVII gives us hope that the battle system and story will be good! Also the setting is different and the characters are far more mature than FFXIII. Anyways just by watching the CGI it's obvious that there will be a lot more interaction with NPC's and a far more interesting story.
Even if it still sucks it's kind of hard to suck...
The Final Fantasy XIII game was obviously gimped by the X360 (not in graphics but size, towns, content, npc's, one button autobattle tapping). I am against Multi-platform for these reasons but to say it only sucked because of the 360 is false.
It sucked because of a crappy story, villain, characters like the whiny Hope (was ok towards the end), douche-bag Snow, and the annoying Vanille. Even if they did add all that was taken out by the X360 there is no excuse for the H...
I just did some reading and you are right. The human eye can see around 70+ fps but the brain will only notice 25-30fps and anything below will seem choppy. When it comes to a tv or computer monitor it takes time for the color to fade so a higher fps does matter. Also the human eye fills in gaps with motion blur so the higher the frame rate the less guessing the eye has to do.
I thought the human eye could only see 24 frames per second so why is 60 frames per second such a big deal?
I am psyched about Elder Scrolls V but I must say no to a MMO. Unless they say it's free (can't recall any company ever doing that) then hell no. An Elder Scrolls in MMO form would be great if MMO's didn't charge and arm and leg.
@ -lkon- the combat didn't suck, the leveling system did and is easily fixable for Elder Scrolls V.
If they would just keep the promises of the first one it would be great. I miss the promises of a truly open world, use of anything as a weapon(salt and pepper shakers of doom), heroes competing, and true exploration and loot (If Morrowind and Oblivion could do it then why can't Fable?)
It probably has outsold FFXII because Square has pumped so much money into marketing for this game. You will also be surprised how many idiots just care about looking at the screen and going "oooh pretty".
The last good FF was X and the average age of a hardcore gamer is 15-20yrs. That means the average gamer must have been 5-10 yrs old when X came out = they don't know they were screwed hard by SquareEnix. Those who are old enough to know they just got screwe...
What Final Fantasy is worse that FFXIII? The only one I can think of that might come close if FFXII.
I could write a whole page over what's wrong with FFXIII or I can just say this. Square please go back and look at your finest titles: Final Fantasy IV, VI, VII and Chrono Trigger. All offered an amazing story, open worlds, sidequests, the ability to interact with NPCs, a battle system that didn't require mashing of "auto-battle", a good villain, and characters that didn't drive me up the wall (with the exception of the "stupid spoony bard" lol). FFXIII didn...
I agree but you should add IV and VI to that list
Don't forget the fact that there was way more people to interact with. There also wasn't whiny people like Vanille and Hope. They are trying to save the world and they kept CRYING AND WHINING.
At least when Zack Fair cried in Crisis Core he was forced to kill his friend.
The graphics and movement of the battle system was good but it consisted of tapping the X button and pressing the paradigm shift button.
I hated the Paradigm system, I beat the whole game just buttom mashing auto-battle.
If Square wants to make a good Final Fantasy battle system then they should take a look at FFVI, X, or even better yet Chrono Trigger. It's sad when I like FFXII more than XIII.
Is it right to really say that? How do we even know that a Final Fantasy turn based JRPG wouldn't have sold better? There hasn't even been a console turn based RPG that has scored better than a 9.0 on IGN.com since FFXII(PS2). JRPG's don't sell because the companies have failed to release a decent JRPG game, not because the Genre is dead!
I have never played Gran Turismo can I customize the cars like I could in Forza?
I'm not trying to start a fanboy arguement just a yes or no response would be appreciated.
This game is going to be epic but the transition from 2D to 3D backgrounds was a step in the wrong direction.
