Love the dual micro analogs, screen, PSP2 doesn't look visually mindblowing but I'm not complaing (I intend to watch movies and game not put it on display).

XIII was a disgrace. Whiny characters, a meh soundtrack, iffy one button auto-battle but if XIII-2 has a darker story and it's GOOD I will stop nitpicking and shut-up. A good story is more important than anything.
The only barrier to me purchasing a PSP2 is price. Can't wait for the reveal.
P.S. There is not way that the announcement of a PSP2 is better than what's going on in that pic.....I love blondes...
The the title should read "Why I hate Final Fantasy XIII" and not "Why I hate Final Fantasy". Also I wouldn't call FFXIII a turn based game. It's an one button autobattle mashing game.
I love the settings listed in the article like Moscow, East/West Germany, or London.
I would like to see the return of tanks and a little less realistic health damage (not the graphics but the gameplay). For example in Vice City and San Andreas I could actually have the army come and have a last stand against 30 NPC's.It's a lot more fun to cause mayhem without being slaughtered by 5 cops like in IV.

I find it funny how many people are disagreeing with me. I am not a fan boy and would be saying the same thing about Polyphony Digital if they did this.
All that I'm saying is that they are pumping out games so fast. I believe that they should pump out new Racing IPs in addition to a new Forza. There aren't enough racing IPs out there and I believe they have the talent to do so.
I agree with you, co-op but not a MMO. Maybe a MMO if it's 100% free (highly doubt it).

PS3-like graphics sound awesome. Let's just hope it's far easier to develop for than the PS3.
Easier to develop for = cheaper to develop for = more studios making games and happier gamers.
What I think the PSP 2 needs:
1. A real Final Fantasy (Crisis Core was good but not a real FF) like from the Squaresoft days.
2. FFVI, VII or a Chrono Trigger HD
3. Kingdom Hearts
4. A Bioware RPG (PS3 will soon have Mass Effect 2)
5. Jak
6. Elder Scrolls portable
7. New IPs (mostly RPGs)

1st No brutes please
2nd No dual wielding (the original didn't)
3rd Up the grenade damage and blast radius like in the original
4th Keep the original pistol with the scope
5th Just keep it a REMAKE and don't change too much except for game modes and customization in multi

I just hope it's more like Morrowind in the leveling. I also hope they will tone down the leveled loot and enemies. People don't like going into 20 dungeons and walking out with 3 lock picks and a loaf of bread.
Either way though it's already a day one buy for me and I haven't even seen a screenshot yet.

In many ways it's like a FPS in design. SE has repeatedly stated that this game was aimed at western audiences. Also I remember a good article a while back about how the writer of FFXI...
They have already proved that westernizing Final Fantasy is the wrong move. I just want them to return to their roots(return to their SquareSoft days) and make games like Final Fantasy V-X, and Chrono Trigger.
Remember EA in the early 2000's pumping out games every year? Activision is trying to pump out a Call of Duty every year and it's going to kill them in the long run as they make the series stale (and more buggy games like Black Ops).
Also EA tried to penny and dime everyone too and people started to lose respect for them. I see the same thing happening to Activision.
I'm going to absolutely love the PS3 ports and the PS3 like graphics.
For those that say that the PSP2 isn't as graphically impressive as the PS3, I agree but remember that the PS3 has been out for years. It looks on par with early PS3 games and I forsee the PSP2 matching the PS3 within a year or two once developers get used to the hardware.
