It's gonna be terrible in VR, the game can't even keep 30fps most of the time and you need more than 60fps for good VR.
Epic Game Store will only stay relevant until Steam decide to drop the share it takes to have games on its platforms. If Steam decides to drop their share from 30% to 12%, Epic Game Store will definitely just die since no one will want to go exclusive with them anymore.
FromSoftware are probably laughing really hard at all those articles and saying stuff like: "Thanks for the free publicity you second rate journalists"
I say it would take away from the experience. Having an easy mode would very likely have an impact on the normal difficulty game balance.
People seriously need to give up. FromSoftware is just never gonna add an easy mode in their games because they don't want to. You could argue that more people would buy the game, but they obviously don't care, as those games sell a lot already.
People have been asking easy mode for their games since the beginning. If it was gonna happen, it would have already. They obviously know some people want it, but they don't give a damn. Can't say they're doing a...
Unlikely, the game is timed exclusive to epic store on PC.
@porkChop Anything posted 1-2 days before or after April's Fools can be considered April's Fools these days.
Microsoft can't secure japanese exclusives anymore, nobody would be willing to partner with them when they could do it with Sony or Nintendo and do a lot more money than Microsoft would offer them. Xbox is so dead in Japan that signing anything with MS would be financial suicide at this point.
Nintendo had years to make their directs like they are today. There was no way Sony and Microsoft would get it like that on their first try.
Give them a year though and it will probably match the Nintendo direct or be better.
There is like 4-5 more state of play to look forward to for this year alone, so I don't think we should be worried. Don't expect a PS5 reveal in State of play by the way, we're definitely gonna get a special event like the PS4 did in February 2013.
Not to sound mean, but is this actually ever gonna release? I am starting to believe it's the next FF Versus XIII.
Except there is no way to make sure they have the best hardware if they launch at the same time since they have no way to know what Sony are doing. If they launch at the same time, Sony is likely gonna end up with the most powerful console, they're not only better at making games, they're better in the hardware department.
Super Meat Boy is also hard.
The sprites of the snes era are almost timeless. It's one of the reasons a lot of indie games today still have those kind of graphics. You really don't see a lot of N64/PS1 styles because I agree with you, they aged very badly.
No, Microsoft didn't do it perfectly, they did it wrong. Meanwhile Sony didn't half ass it, they just didn't do it at all.
The last console that did BC perfectly is the PS3 with the 20GB and 60GB models that could literally play every PS1 and PS2 games. The Wii U did it properly by allowing yo to play all Wii games and the Wii also did it properly by allowing you to play all GC games.
Meanwhile Microsoft choose what you get for BC.
@bluefox755 I don't get why you are getting disagrees, it's true. The Switch is weaker than the PS4 and Xbox One and it would only hold the game back. Plus, the console only has a tiny 32GB internal memory. With all the content and updates, people would be forced to buy a microSD because the game likely wouldn't fit on the Switch.
The only time I had trouble was the Major Keates boss (the one with heavy armor and flame thrower). If you don't know what to do, he will die. Then when I realized you had to break the box on his back to make him vulnerable, it became a lot easier.
"if these games end up looking and playing better than anything on ps5 or xbox scarlett then what?"
I am almost certain the PS5 and Next Xbox will have better specs than this.
Maybe that's because it's competing against 5 years old hardware? It's definitely gonna change once Sony and Microsoft release their next console.
Adding easy mode to this kind of game would undoubtedly affect the balance of the main difficulty as well.
