There are some mentions of events in Trails in the Sky in the first 2 trails of cold steel, but not much. You should definitely play Trails in the Sky completely before Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 (which are yet to be released), because there are characters from that series in those games.
You might also want to play Trails of Zero and Azure, which are the 2 unlocalized games. There are translation patches for them out there that are 100% done.

I am pretty sure the PS5 will be the superior system spec wise. Xbox only ever had the better system when they released a year later. If they release at the same time, Sony will have the advantage because they're better at hardware than Microsoft.
No, the Switch won't outsell the PS5 and Scarlett. In fact, I am pretty sure the Switch sales will slow down massively when the PS5 releases because at the moment, it's doing well because it's new against 2 consoles which are at the end of their life. When the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett releases, the Switch won't be new anymore, they will. For a while, they will both outsell it (the PS5 will at least), except in Japan.
With the updated model and the Switch Lite coming out very soon, it's definitely not a good time to get a Switch. Better wait for new models.
Yeah, it's actually what I am planning. I am using an intel i5 4670k and 16GB DDR3 Ram. I am not someone who has to stricly go Intel and with AMD doing this much progress, I can't ignore it. I only upgraded to a 1070 ti a year ago and I am now at the point where my cpu and ram are 6 years old and they need to be upgraded before I think of getting a new GPU. That old CPU is really struggling to keep 60fps at 1440p.
Docked. The Switch is too big for portable mode in my opinion. The Vita and 3DS XL were the perfect size. Maybe I will get a Lite for portable mode, but I just can't take it with the current model.
Xbox is like the Zune. The only difference is that the Zune was at least put out of its misery quickly. Microsoft seems to want to make Xbox suffer for as long as possible.
Pretty sure MS releasing all their games on PC is not a gesture of good will, but to prepare for the inevitability that Xbox is gonna be dead sooner than they think.
It's pretty obvious that the only reason the 360 was this successful was because the PS3 launched a year later and much more expensive. Yes the 360 had great games, but it wouldn't have mattered at all if the PS3 launched at the same time and same price, the PS3 would have completely dominate the 360 like the PS4 is doing right now.
Microsoft went with the Xbox One reveal because they thought the 360 was successful on its own merit and they thought that they mattere...
No point in even owning a Xbox anymore because every single games on it can be played on PC or another console. All you'd be doing is wasting hundreds of dollars that could be better used elsewhere.
It's over. The PS5 also having backward compatibility with PS4 games sealed Xbox's fate away. It's gonna be a repeat of this gen next gen because most people will not switch sides because they will want to keep their library going into next gen.

2 millions copies sold isn't gonna cover the cost of porting, marketing and everything else. Plus Sony could easily cover those sales to make sure it stays exclusive if they wanted.
Also, when they said "Play it first on Playstation", it probably means it's coming to PC next and that's it. I don't see why people think this would come to Xbox, it wouldn't sell.
Those were announced before everyone realized Xbox wasn't relevant anymore. Notice how most of AAA games from Japan that SE has released didn't come to Xbox One?

It runs and looks terribly. Have you seen how bad it looks? It's so bad that unless you only own a Switch, you definitely don't want to get that version.
Not every developers wants to make their games look as bad as this for just a few extra bucks. Especially Falcom, they're just a small studio who don't want to waste the money because they know porting to Switch would likely cost more than they would make.
Trails games won't be ported to Switch. With no games having released on it, it would be stupid to bring the third one. Also, Falcom ditched the Vita because it was holding them back, so I wouldn't say them going the Switch route, especially since the game after Cold Steel 4 that they're making is said to be a huge improvement in graphics compared to CS4. The Switch would likely not be able to handle it moving forward.
