Doesn't matter, PS4 BC is all the PS5 needs to assure its victory. With both of the next gen consoles being backward compatible, most people won't switch sides, meaning the PS5 will win against Scarlett by about the same margin as the PS4 is winning, except it's gonna be worst for Xbox next gen because some people won't buy it because all their exclusives are on PC and all their games are available elsewhere.
They basically announced that Xbox Scarlett would be able to do what Sony already said the PS5 would be able to.
Honestly, I don't care if they are. I hope new consoles uses USB-C so I can ditch micro-USB. Micro-USB is horribly designed and the sooner it disappear, the better.
Nintendo and SE's conference are the ones worth watching this year. Microsoft is just there to show multiplatforms that will sell better on other systems anyway. 90% of their conference will be filled with them. As for the other 10%, if their new acquisition can only come up with games that have the same quality as bleeding edge, than I feel sorry for anyone who still believed MS could turn this around.

Look at Fallout 4: 87 critic score and 6.6 user score. Same for Dragon Age Inquisition: 89 critic score and 7.4 user score. Again, the user score is the right one. No way in hell those 2 games deserve 87 and 89, especially since they're filled with glitches, bugs and everything else is about the game is either mediocre or average at best.

This is one of those games that was wrongly reviewed by journalists. You can tell when the user score on metacritics is higher than crititc score. This almost never happen and the critic score is almost always much higher than the user score.
User score is always the correct score anyway and the one you should watch for. It's much more accurate than the critic score.
I agree with Persona 5, but for Dragon Quest 11, the additions on Switch aren't gonna be worth it imo.
March is a better time to release a console. November is the holiday rush, but when you release your console in that period, holiday sale boost won't have any effect on its sales because they will all be sold out anyway.
If you release in March, you have time to make a lot more by November and actually get enough on shelves for the holidays.

I bet it would be possible for them to block physical games too. When you insert a disc, the game just becomes another icon on your PS4 menu. It would be very easy for them to prevent you from running those as well if they wanted.

If they are releasing their consoles at the end of 2020, it's already too late to change their specs, so waiting at the last minute for that 1 more flop or 1 more gb of ram isn't possible, they'd have to delay the console.
