I guess for some, but 1 level isn't going to do anything for me. I'd just be pissed I couldn't play the whole thing. Btw, isn't all the Uncharted games divided into chapters? So 1 chapter is basically the intro.
Still, even if it's not good for me i'm sure it will be for others. It might even persuade some newcomers to the Uncharted series to give it a go.
I've disagreed on your views before evrfighter, but on this matter you're on the money. The stats only show briefly after the game as well. You can still see them, but only if you want.
I've played the U3 mp for the past few days and for a change, I haven't cared about my kdr. Yes, everyone wants to do good and help your team win, but you shouldn't forget it's the gameplay that makes the game and not stats. They're still there, but the way ...
I honestly think that's what it needs. Another 1 or 2 months to get it polished. The game not having gone gold yet tells you it's being rushed. EA should just step and do it. There's still plenty of time before Christmas or even before Thanksgiving.
I can't imagine how much pressure Dice has on them right now, probably 20 hr work days. The good thing is that Dice is a dedicated dev team and BF3 will end up being the game people want. Although it will p...
Yeah I've also noticed the speed is a bit fast. They could slow the speed, but increase sprint distance. I think that could be a good middle ground.
@ iamlee, you may be of adult age, but you're still very immature. There's no arguing that.
Marketing DOES help. I see that Gears 3 commercial, and i'm like "Damn, I need a 360"
But, the game is a success because it's a good game as well.

I gotta disagree about the pacing. I love the U3 pacing. It's all about running, gunning and smacking the shit out of anyone close enough. I also like the transitions from moving levels to static ones, it also adds to that fast paced feel.
@crematory, if someone buys the psn + and 1 $10 game thats $60 right there. Another incentive to get ps+.
@ cgoodno, I don't think it has anything to do with inflating the October lineup. It's a rewards program, not a "look how many games we release" program. The program is offering incentives (buy $60, get $10 back) on qualifying purchases. As you said Rochard just came out, so offering as part of the October lineup allows buyers to buy it towards the rewards. My question though is how about the people who bought Rochard last week? Will that count towards the reward?
I'm loving U3 as well. I'm pretty tired of military shooters right now. Already deleted the BF3 demo from my hdd, I'll probably get MW3 down the line used. U3 will be my mp game for a good while. Now I just have to get my friends/family to jump on board so we can game together.
You do know that the Latino population is HUGE in the U.S. right? Just because soccer/football is not on prime time tv doesn't mean it isn't a major sport. Also, if the article is counting the "Americas" as it sugests, Central and South America are hardcore football/soccer fanatics. So 500,000 isn't shocking at all.
Edit: What's up with Child of Eden? I have seen ZERO marketing for the 360 or PS3, how do they expect this to sell when most don...
@ LOGIC, the pc is not a primary gaming device in 95% of sales. BUT...if you use your "logic" than cell phones are the #1 sales leader for gaming devices, not the pc.
Well, they're her personal reasons so I can't really knock that, but I wonder if she ever realized that instead of buying a 2nd xbox360 she could have bought a PS3. But she does have a point in that buying games for 2 systems is a lot more expensive that just buying games for 1 system.
@gogospeedracer, you can always fill it with water, tea(unsweetened), or diet soda. You're just being a drama queen.
@Darkblood, I don't quite understand your statement. If you mean that Subway sandwiches have a lot of fat, well that's up to you. You can get whole wheat and load it up with vegetables and lean meat (or none) if you want.
I finally found a participating Subway in my area, took 1 of 5 attempts. I'm all set, so if I go aga...
Yes, you're right. I believe even the stats on this will carry over to the retail release. But they might have kept the "beta" tag because there might still be changes to the gameplay.
It is, I played a couple games today and I was more than amazed. Played with the new Sony 7.1 headphones and it was awesome. The music and sound effects are engrossing. I was playing in Desert Village and I started to hear a windy sound getting stronger, and then a dust storm rolled in! I was like WTF (in a good way). It immediately changed the tactics as you couldn't see far and it turned into more of a cqc game until the storm passed.
If you can't tell, I lov...
Wow, this was like watching a movie. ND has really outdone themselves. It seems they are perfecting dynamic levels, and the climbing aspect really adds another dimension to the gameplay. I was decent in the U2 mp, but U3 looks harder. Definitely not a casual mp, you have to be smart and on your toes or you'll get owned.
Also the sound is gorgeous, especially in the train station. Just thought of something...i'm going to have to get my ass to a participating Subwa...
Dice freaking promoted this beta with the MOH purchase. They know public betas nowadays are more of a demo. I also haven't heard anything from Dice regarding screen tearing and bad textures. I think it's safe to say this is what we'll get come release.
Edit: also, I've been in many betas, and they are always the same quality as the final release, minus bugs and glitches.
November 11th? It's November 1st here in the U.S.,is the release date different where you are?
