Btw, i'm fully aware of the 360 catalog, as I follow all gaming news, but what I listed above is what really interests me.
I've been looking into getting a 360 for a few games I can't play on my ps3. Mainly Alan Wake, Gears trilogy, and L4D. I can't justify spending $300 for these and i'm not going to get a used 360. I hope MS comes out with a Black Friday deal that will push me over the edge.

I always install the updates as soon as they release. I like to keep my PS3 up to date, and I've never had bricking issues.
For the record, I timed the update. From download to install, the whole process took 5 min 4 secs.
It's a "win 1 of 5 shopping sprees" not 1 in 5 chances. One word, BIG difference.
Anytime you read a review you risk spoilers. Either by the reviewer or idiot posters. N4G has its share of idiots ready to spoil the game, i'm sure there are even some willing to subscribe to the said magazine in question just to do so. This is why from now until November 1st I'm going to try and stay away from N4G as much as possible. And definitely staying away from U3 reviews.
Lol, it's all good. I was willing and ready to pay $40 until the associate told me about the deal.
There was a coupon in Gamer magazine for $10 off, I got it for $15 ($20 if you include cost of the magazine).
One reason was because of the atrocity that was R2. Why would I buy R3 when R2 sucked?
Another reason was the marketing. Why did Sony market it as a Move game? Big mistake. When I rented it at Redbox there was a prompt that said that Move was NEEDED to play. Wtf? I knew it wasn't, but for people that don't know probably passed.
Well I love it, as do many others.
