Screenshots are not a very fair representation of the game at 595px × 360px. It would be better to get some HD screenshots no?
@ colonel, this is taken from the Gamespot website on how they review games:
"We Take Time and Originality Into Account
We judge more critically as time goes by, because our expectations as game players are constantly increasing. When we review a game, we consider it at the exact point in time at which the evaluation is taking place (generally, the week of a game's release) and compare it to what we believe to be the current standards of quality at t...
I think the leap from Uncharted to U2 was so big, people were expecting the same leap from U3. When you reach a state of perfection there's only so much more you can do. I think that's where the 9/10s come in, in no way is it a bad score, in fact it's still an excellent score, but in a way U3 and ND are victims of their own success if that makes sense. That's my take anyway for what it's worth.
I wouldn't worry about Eurogamer, when you look at metacritic you will see 100s, 95s and 90s. Eurogamer will stand out and people will question them. I mean how do you give a score that indicates borderline average/above average when every other score is at least 10pts higher? Thats pretty telling of the reaction they wanted.
I love both franchises (shocker how its possible huh) but each offer different things. The complaint I have with Assains Creed though is every game feels the same. Same settings, same missions and dragged out storyline. This is why I'm just mildy excited for ACR.
Uncharted is linear yes, but it should be. That is the way it keeps the storyline pacing at a good beat. The story in AC is good, but the progression is very slow.
For the devs, I hope e...
I got LA Noire for $19.99 via Gamefly, now ME2 for $19.99 via Gamestop! I'm getting both and shelving them for the slower spring/summer of 2012.
Of course there will be a 3rd. Who stops a multi million seller?
Same, is this including the texture pack though?
I'll stick with my Sony 7.1s, they're good enough for me.
@substance101, thats where we part ways. I have zero interest in mmos, simulators, rts, or true rpgs (witcher, skyrim, etc). No, i'm not missing out either, its just not my cup of tea.
I have gamed on pc before and I even have a steam account, so I know the pros and cons. For my tastes in games it isn't worth it. I commented on this article because I know for a fact pc gaming is not cheap if you want to take advantage of the high end graphics. If i'm not mi...
At fat old man, why did I know I'd see that comment? Sure if you want, but seeing as how I bought it to go with my hd cable as basically everyone else does its not relevant.
And yes, I do need at least that size, my eyes aren't as great like they used to be and I don't like to be face to face with the tv/monitor.
This doesn't take into account the cost of a high end monitor to go with the rig. Why build a pc to play games on ultra high settings if you don't have a monitor that will take advantage of that? And i'm talking at least a 26".
Plus, you would still miss out on all those console exclusives. So for someone to choose JUST a pc, they'd be missing out on a lot of great games.
Decrypt, clearly you've never taken an economics class. Corporations don't operate on a running balance sheet. Balance sheets are broken down into quarters. Sony themselves and shareholders don't care about what happened in 07, 08, 09 or 10. They knew there would be losses, its common sense whenever you release new hardware. past investments in the ps3 are now paying off. Ps3 is now profitable, ps2 is STILL profitable.
The PS3 has always been on the 10 year ...
Sorry decrypt, the "ps3 project" as you call it is actually profitable, as are all parts of the gaming part. The losses come from other parts of the home entertainment division such as the tvs. Maybe thats why you have diagrees because you're ill informed.
@ dboyc310, nah man it was proved that R* paid off reviewers with checks, trips and swag bags. I remember an article about that.
While unethical, its not illegal.
@ dboyc310, R* has lots and lots of $$$, and reviewers don't make a lot...do the math.
Aren't the dlc packs only like $4? If so, it would still be a great buy, also iirc didn't the ps3 version come with a dlc code? If so, it should be in the case they send like MrBeatdown said.
No, you also can't use the coupon that day. You have to wait 1 or 2 days, then it becomes valid. Still worth it.
Well, they're not new. A Google Images search and I found 5 of those from earlier this month and before.
