At this point, I'd rather TLG be a PS4 launch title. Make it 1080p and 60 fps and wow the world.
I wouldn't compare it to left for dead or resident evil, totally different genres. You are right though, it's a great game, and one that shouldn't be played alone. Many people say it's boring, but most of those people played it solo. I played this game with another person and it was an awesome experience. I seriously can't wait for the sequel.

Why not just say for release on the pc, 360 and ps3? Will the ps3 version be delayed? Do they think ps3 fans will not be receptive because of Uncharted? Or is ps3 too hard for them to figure out?
Please don't dig yourself a bigger hole than you already have. In trying to sound like a pc fanboy, you're coming off really bad. As I said, most of us here are pc gamers in one sense or another. Whether it's playing on Pogo or Steam, we contribute to the pc market.
But when it comes to AAA type games it's no mystery why devs "dumb down" games to cater to the console market. It's because in that type of market consoles is where the sales are at....
@Taquito, when talking about overall revenue of course PC trumps consoles. But when people say that consoles is where the money is at they mean as far as games like Mass Effect, COD, GTA, etc. Not facebook games, not mmorpgs, not Pogo.com, etc. You can't seriously think that a game released on pc, 360 and ps3 will sell more on pc than the other 2 combined do you? Really? Even a pc classic like BF3 saw the most sales on consoles.
I recently played the 2nd, and it was pretty good. I can't compare it to the 1st because I never played that one. The only reason I picked it up was because it has split screen co-op so me and my son could play a game together. Needless to say, we're now very much looking forward to the 3rd installment if it has split screen co-op as well.
I don't think this has to sell that much to be a "success". Think about it, this is just a simple port of a simple game. There probably is barely any dev cost with this.
And I imagine there will be quite a bit of people that will buy this just for the easy achievement/trophies.
I just beat the game yesterday and was happy with the sendoff they gave to Max. They should leave it as, forget the sequel or prequel. Besides, eventhough the game was great it didn't do well sales wise (at least R* well), so I can't see another MP anytime soon.

PSV launched with a crapload of games, but it's summer now and since when did big games come out in summer months? Are people so impatient they can't wait till the holiday months for new games? Did they think AAA exclusives would come every month? Crazy people...

Bingo! People can't afford to buy decent or good games anymore, only great games. People now rely on reviews to make purchases and to get the most out of their money. I've said it before, if a game is great it won't fail. I don't think thee has been a great game this gen that has not made money. Even a niche game like Demons Souls did outstanding with zero advertis...
@thece11, that may have been true at one time when the PS3 was $600 and parents didn't but them for their kids, but now many household have PS3s and MANY kids game on PS3.

Absolutely right, I've only bought 1 map pack on COD 4, that's the only dlc I've ever bought and likely ever will.
There's 2 games out right now, Gravity Rush and Uncharted Golden Abyss. Both received great reviews, great player feedback and both under $50. These 2 games are better than 90% of the console games released this year.
You cite 3 examples of (imo) great games, but how many PS3/Xbox360 games can beat those out either? Not many, and ALL PS3/Xbox360 games release at $60.
As far as I'm concerned, the tier pricing of Vita games is a model all consoles sho...

I see this comment often but I still don't understand the logic behind it. These $40-50 games are full production games, that happen to be on a handheld. They have the same quality and work put into them as $60 console games. Why would you expect a lower price?
So why on the 360 and not PS3?
