XBOne owners attempt to get people to buy the XBOne more like...
The fact that Zampella seems to be in the dark most of the time when it comes to MS/EA announcements shows that he has little control over what the publishers can and will do with the game.
If he has given any significant rights to future TF games to EA then he could be in for a shock, especially since EA does have an ex-MS boss of Xbox (Peter Moore) working for them.
Judging by his quick statement that he hasn't sold TF at least it shows he wants it to ...
The game does look good so he is right to call out a 4/10 rating..even flappy bird got more than that.
I have yet to see any dev criticize SONY. Maybe there is substance to these complaints against MS...
Risen 1 was a great game. The second one was pretty mediocre with the pirates theme. Hope this new one is more like the older games.
The review was done on an XBOX one and the guy is complaining about the graphics. I have a feeling the PS4 and PC versions will fare better.
I think the score is pretty unfair though since most of the problems highlighted are minor and can be fixed with a patch.
It comes with Titanfall so I guess MS are testing the waters to see if the mighty Titanfall can shift some boxes.
I don't have an XB1 but I may try this game out on the PC if there is a demo or something. Won't buy it without testing though since it doesn't even have a story mode.
Imagine if it had come out PS3/PS4. They would have had more than 10M players ;)
The game needs more optimization. Even Battlefield 4 runs better on my i7 3770 and that is a more demanding game imho.
A bit Off topic... The Order proves that visuals shown in the first trailer for Deep Down should be possible in real-time on the PS4. I hope Capcom can pull it off.
No disc based games? Didn't Microsoft have a similar idea before the XBone launch? Can't say that line of thinking got them anywhere...
Only something like AMD's mantle could improve the XBOX1 but I doubt MS would drop DirectX and go for that.
Interesting link with some very interesting benchmark results.
The tests were done before Tombraider was released for the consoles so it is interesting that they got around 30fps on Ultra for the simulated PS4 but we know from tombraider devs that the PS4 version runs at 60fps with dips to 40fps.
That means the PS4 gpu is in effect about the same as an 7870XT because they downclocked an 7870XT to 600MHz in the test to get 30fps.

I would like to see someone do a comparison using an AMD APU but add a 7850 , 7790, etc to determine the difference the different GPU makes to the game. This would clearly show the difference between the XB1 and PS4 GPU's.
Once the PC reviews are in, I guess we will see the gap between a high end pc and the consoles.
They used an i7 3770K @4.3Ghz. Thats more than twice as fast clockwise and a GPU on par with a PS4 GPU. Is it any surprise the pc runs better.
They need to test is with a similar cpu/gpu spec to the XB1 to get a fair analysis. It would be interesting if a comparable APU from AMD can run the game similar or better than the XB1 version.
Isn't Final Fantasy like this type of turn based game? Looks pretty boring...
