Yet CDProject downgraded the pc version to be at parity with the XB1. They certainly limited themselves there.
So why do devs support this? They should develop features which are useable on all cards, not only some.
The Witcher series has always had great lore and gameplay. Making it open world just makes it even better. I thought the older games were around 8/10 worth so this is bound to score higher.
They had the game running at those ultra high detail settings so that older version of the game must exist somewhere. Let's hope the release an 'enhanced' version like they did for the original Witcher.
CDproject say the game is $32 which is a great price if you live in the US but the UK version is £41 which equates to $65 :(.
The game is a digital copy so why the huge difference? If the publishers want the game to sell well at least do the decent thing and not have such discrepancy between countries.
They had the features inplemented but took them out. If it wasn't for a certain parity clause I'm sure they could have left them in as selectable options.
I'm sure Farcry is a more popular franchise than Rainbow 6 so their expectation is a bit over ambitious.
looks like Antialiasing and slightly different lighting is added to the photomode...thats all.
The reveal appears to show lots of different gameplay which means quite a lot of code was done. Does not make sense why many of the character models were also downgraded when we know high end pc's could have handled them.
MS has a parity clause which means TW3 may have been downgraded so the XB1 version can look at least similar to the other versions.
That is the only explanation otherwise why would the game be significantly different when they could have retained the reveal quality for high end pc's?
I'd be interested to see what fps you get when everything is maxed. If it's sub 30fps then there is no reason to have the extra effects.
Not much point of all these visual settings when most will not even know what they do. They should at least have additional quick settings such as 60 fps or 30 fps.
Even some of the new Sony TV's are very good and competitively priced which helps add to the companies recovery. Let's hope they continue to improve and eventually return to the glory days.

I love the music in the PS4 trailer for this. I think the devs will make a worthy reboot. The SOTB story is great and hopefully this game will do it justice.
