This surprises anyone? The Source engine as nice as it may be is getting a bit old by anyones standards.
The Wii Poon with force feedback! These wii peripherals are getting more and more ridiculous by the day. I wish Nintendo would stop with this crap and give us a new Zelda or Mario.
Twisted Metal, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Dragoon, Zone of the Enders, Time Splitters, Xenogears/saga, Legacy of Kain
see the flaw in this article? He uses the minimum system requirements needed to RUN the game. As we all know being able to run the application versus being able to USE the application is quite a different story. The minimum system requirements for Aion from the article:
"Here's the minimum system requirement for the game:
* CPU : Pentium 4 2.0GHz
* RAM :1GB
* VGA :GeForec FX 5600(128MB), DirectX 9 or higher
* OS :Windows XP

so lame it hurts. Using the iPhone/iPod Touch as well as the PSP Go as examples. For one Apple's products are overpriced but is a price that the market is willing to pay for the product. Look at their Powerbook, PowerMacs and iMacs as examples. They are generally 2x if not greater the cost of a similarly equipped clone or Wintel PC. The reason is you are buying into the "Apple Experience" more than you are the actual hardware. As for the PSP Go the price is going to be higher ...
I used to be a PC gamer but had a problem with the constant struggle of upgrading "part X" to get better graphics, performance, etc... Now I primarily game on consoles due to the fact that I don't have to worry if my console can handle the game and buy a new part. Granted the PC will always have the best graphics overall but the cost of attaining those graphics while keeping the game playable is far too much for most people.
EDIT: OK so after reading through the benc...
The MS response to the PS3 Slim. Still no embedded Wi-fi huh? FAIL.
I didn't know that Kotick was a synonym for ass clown. Until now.
I can just imagine the advertising in China...
"Buy CBHD for the ultimate in HD experience. Buy a Blu-Ray and we'll run you over with tanks."
Like I said many other times about articles like these. Steve Job's is still pissed off when the entire audience laughed at him when he said the same thing. The iPhone is just that a PHONE. With absolutely no physical controls other than a motion sensing mechanism. It has about as much chance of competing with the DS/DSi or PSP/PSP Go! as I have of becoming the Queen of England. That being said the games that are available for it are better than your run of the mill crap and your standar...
R.I.P. ID Software. Bethesda will destroy whatever franchises and IP you have.
UMD is sitting in my drive doing the install now on a fresh 4 Gig stick with my NHF2 save moved over. Then when done will fire up the PS3 and start Ad Hoc Party and go whack some critters.
Can't wait for MFH:U! I have it pre-ordered and will be picking it up on release day. Then one of two options to play online. XLink Kai or PS3 Party! Unless they release the US version of PS3 party you will have to make a Japanese acct. and D/L to install it, no biggie.
12 years for 2 minutes of crappy footage. Another 12 years and we might have a crappy playable demo!
Looks like Turn-10 gave up on making a good game and is just bribing people for good reviews/votes. Sounds like they took a page from the MS marketing school. Halo swag bags anyone?
and then bought infamous. Prototype isn't necessarily a bad game but it is just plain ole ugly and flat in most places. The action in prototype and gameplay is pretty good although a little too much like the Hulk but overall not that bad. Infamous on the other hand is leaps and bounds ahead in the graphics dept. as well as gameplay. The missions in prototype aren't bad although a little repetitive. I am not saying that infamous isn't repetitive with it's missions either but the side ques...
You are seriously delusional and should lay off the microsoft kool-aid
"From a gaming perspective, Microsoft single-handedly ushered in the PC gaming era with DirectX 10 years ago that everyone follows today: OpenGL is an API that is derived from DirectX."
OpenGL was developed and released by SGI in 1992 and DirectX was first deployed in September 1995. Microsoft Office didn't revolutionize anything just copied. Lotus 1-2-3 and Wordperfect/Wordperfect Sui...
*Facepalm*
Squeenix mentality.
We failed using one of the most popular and successful engines out there. Let's go license an engine that has proven to be bug ridden across every platform it appeared on! Now that there is just plain genius I tell you! GENIUS!
Man ya gotta love these guys. Granted they are selling well but ONLY shining star? Hmmm... Wii? Besides that the PS3 is still selling very strongly considering it's current price point vs. the competition. In any case hopefully Sony will drop the bomb and announce a price cut and/or slim on the 18th. The 1st party exclusives coming are insanely strong and $299 PS3 would just bolster that 10x. Well here's hoping.
