Ballmer = fail. MS licensing = mega fail. Look at companies with draconian licensing vs. companies that have a simpler licensing structure and see who has the happiest corporate and home consumers.
Heavenly Sword? Really? One of the best games on the PS3. Aside from being a little on the short side of total game time it is a phenominal game. Controls are spot on, camera, story, graphics. Lair was OK at best when controlled with the Six Axis but the patch changed that unfortunately it came too late. Saints Row 2 should be replaced with GTA 4 as far as I am concerned. The rest are pretty much spot on.
For the last time it has not been hacked. They used a known existing bug in a corrupt saved game file to run "hello world". Flash 1 can be written to to change settings but flash 0 is locked out making it unable to run CFW of any kind. The most that can be done is run some simple homebrew. No more, no less.
The PSP 1000 model can be perma hacked and have custom firmware flashed to it. Some of the PSP 2000 models can be perma hacked using the same method. The rest of the 2000 and 3000 models as long as they have Official Firmware 5.03 can be temporarily flashed with custom firmware and it will stay on as long as the battery doesn't die or a hard shutdown is performed. If either of those happen then the process is pretty simple to temp. reflash it. The PSP Go has had absolutely nothing special...
It is an existing exploit using a corrupted save game file and has been around for a long time. Custom firmware cannot be written to it so it's no big deal.
This comparison is a freakin joke. They are comparing Forza 3 to GT5:P! As it stands now GT5 has been upped visually over GT5:P as can be seen from any screenshot from recent shows like E3, TGS, etc... They really aren't in the same league anymore. To make matters worse the GT5:P shots look better than Forza 3. So what happens when they compare the final release of GT5 to Forza 3? kthxbye
I am doing this but I am going to have to give HHG some props for making some valid and accurate points. Particularly about the whole Blu-Ray / HD-DVD thing. The fact that Sony incorporated Blu-Ray into the PS3 and not as an option like MS with HD-DVD gave Sony the win in the media war. Another point HHG hit home on was the fact that even with the PS3's initial $600 price point it outsold the XBox 360 in terms of first year sales and then began to trounce it when the price dropped to $399....
Kotick is a clown. His statements and raising of prices has led to him to a loss of my money as well as the money of many of my friends. There are plenty other great games coming out. Knowing this makes MW2 and GH5 far less appealing. Between MAG for the PS3 and Huxley for the XBox 360 10 vs. 10 MP in MW2 pales.

LOL. Linux and *nix OSs like OS X, Solaris, BSD, etc... have always and will always remain the kings. I have never used a MS product in my 27 years of computing and am better for it. Granted I started using computers when I was 9 but still. MS has hindered not helped the industry.

All industries are in a decline. The Xbox 360 although showing strong hardware sales is showing lackluster software sales for the third party devs compared to the PS3 and Wii as reported over the past couple of weeks. Granted the hardware makes MS the money but the devs are getting burned by piracy. Sony does advertise and when they do I have to say it is some of the most obscure stuff you will ever see. They need simple spots, ala Gears1/2 commercials, and throw them on stations like Spike, MTV, VH1, etc... Remember that Sonylike XBox commercial? The one that shows the inside of someones head? How long did that last? Exactly my point. MS saw the error of their ways with that off the wall spot and canned it in a hurry.

It may very well be a good game but in the end it is a CoD 4 with new models and maps. There are other FPS's coming out, MAG as an example, that will be expanding on the whole FPS idea. Then there is the one for the XBox 360, Huxley I think, which is more or less a console MMOFPS similar to SoE's Planetside in scale from what I have read.
