Interesting read, though lately I'm finding it more fun when games make you feel weak and afraid more than all powerful. Amnesia: Dark Descent is a perfect example. You need to stay in the light or you start to lose your mind and start seeing things and getting dizzy, eventually leading to dire consequences if you spend too much time in the dark, but there's someone coming down the hall, footsteps slowly getting closer. You need to douse your light or they will see it and you have no ...

I am really intrigued by this title. I honestly don't know what to expect.

I loved Killzone 2 but I am most likely going to pick this up instead (though not on PS3 cause Unreal games run like shit on it). Killzone 3 looks like more of the same, this actually looks like something somewhat unique and refreshing.

Lulz @ people thinking the word "prolific" = "good".

David Hayter only voice acts in one video game series idiot, how does that make him the most prolific voice actor in video games?

Great game. Unfortunately most people these days think horror = third person action shooter with stuff jumping out at you every 10 seconds until the point where it gets mundane and predictable.

The only thing revolutionary about them is that the choices carry forward into the sequels and you can see the consequences of your actions in other games than the one you made the decisions in. That in itself hasn't really been done before.

I agree with this to a point. I love the series as well, but particularly in the second game, I was a little bothered by the choices you made. Not so much because of the lack of choices, but rather that I'm sure 90% of people playing picked either full good or full bad. What does this mean? It means you can bypass all the tough choices in the game.

Example 1: Tali's loyalty mission. Choose to preserve her father's name but get her kicked out of the flotilla, or e...

This looks like it's going to be a massive improvement in the series, and over Fallout as well. The only disappointing thing is the perks system from Fallout 3 is making an appearance. I really hope they don't take too much from Fallout 3. It was a good game in its own right but should stay different from this. Other than that, everything about this game looks phenomenal. It looks like the game I always pictured when playing Oblivion.

Considering half of these haven't even been announced...obviously.

Also, Bioware seems to really like money recently since they've gotten a taste of fame, they always seem to want to be in the spotlight. The are like Lindsay Lohan. Sooner or later they are bound to get in a drunk driving accident and ruin their career by becoming drug addicts. It wont last forever. I have no doubt they can release 3 big games in a single year. They want money.

I played 3 betas of Rift, there is no real time combat. It is generic "WoWish" combat done completely by the book, and probably the most stale combat I've played in an MMO in recent memory. Very slow paced auto target nonsense.

TERA's combat looks cool but the whole pedo-bestiality crowd that game is likely to attract is going to scare me off. It's a little too Korean for me. Still might give it a try though.

DCOU I have no interest i...

It's a generic third person shooter/platformer with nothing original or unique about it in any way. That's all I have to say. If you think otherwise probably already have your head shoved so far up Sony's ass you aren't going to listen to me anyway. They are not bad games but they are not even close to being as good as people think they are. People can't judge anything for themselves, they just spout what awards they won. Oh yeah? You know who else wins awards? Justin Bieb...

Anyone else pissed off at things like this? And anyone else see this as being the future where every starts doing crap like this? I haven't even decided if I want this game or not yet, because I haven't HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT IT! All you do is release some CG trailer that shows nothing of the game and tells nothing of the story, and you expect us to fork over money for the pre-order 3 months before it comes out, just so you can make interest on it?

Say the game gets a m...

We don't need any more MMOs. If one company came out and actually made a GOOD one, we wouldn't have to keep switching to a new WoW clone every 2 months to get a bit of enjoyment out of them.

Hah! I knew this was coming. 3D is awful for your vision, particularly in growing children. 3DS is going to raise a generation of cross-eyed mongoloids. Like ANYONE is going to actually listen to the warnings... Just wait till the "my kid played his 3DS for 10 hours in a row and his retinas detatched!" complaints and the little warning label isn't going to save you. Also, the age should probably be changed to a lot older than 6, until you actually stop growing. If kids grow up p...

Can't wait until this motion control gimmick shit is over and people go back to using traditional mic, keyboards and controllers, which they will. This is a fad that wont last, it's not the future. Once everyone gets bored of them (which they will, look at how much the Wii has been bombing the last couple years, and look at the lackluster Move and Kinect sales) things will go back to normal. Makes me sad that these companies are wasting their money on this shit when they could be usin...

Bioware seems to be dumbing down their games a lot lately to appeal more to the masses, and it seems to be working as they are more popular than ever. But dumb or not they are still usually enjoyable games, so I guess it could be worse. I would much rather have people playing Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 than Call of Duty and Halo.

This was my initial thought for a long time. I was against this game from day one after seeing the mediocre traditional combat (especially at a time when so many action-based combat MMOs are reaching the market) and the boring quest structure that doesn't really set it apart from any other MMO, but for some reason lately I have been getting more interested in it. They have been announcing more features that set it apart and make it actually look fun and interesting to play. I believe this...

Sure, the game had its fair share of bugs (or more than their share some would say) but I don't think that was the real reason that it felt unbelievable. Every person in that world felt extremely fake, rigid and empty. The zoom-in-on-face conversation camera will do a world of good for this game. Improving animations and the overall look of "coolness" of characters will help. Everyone in the previous game just looked so lame...
