Keep telling yourself that.
My girlfriend is a gamer, and the two things that draw her to games are story and character progression/customization. She doesn't give a shit about Wii and thinks it's full of casual and kiddy games and would rather play stuff like Oblivion or Dragon Age, and she's a total girly girl. Everyone is different.
But these are all stupid reasons.
"Graphics are better on PS3 than on 360" Yeah, and the graphics on PC are better than both, go watch a 3-way comparison video. PC is head and shoulders above both.
"You get all the DLC that was released throughout the previous year". Uh yeah but you could have played that all already months ago. Sure, people had to pay for them, but Mass Effect 2 has been on sale more than any other game I have ever seen ...
Wow this is really poorly written. "Its popularity also spans multiple age groups as well." Lulz. Also, there are plenty of successful subscription-based MMOs out there. Not every game needs WoW numbers to turn a profit... Also, I thought this was a preview, not what some dude on the internet thinks the MMO industry is like and what they think this game will do in the industry.
Bulletstorm anyone? That's about the only FPS I'm actually looking forward to. Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 I'm sure I'll check out, but honestly this genre has gotten so stale due to its over-saturation the last few years, plus I didn't really like them much to begin with...
Seriously. So sick of people saying things like "LOL MASS EFFECT 2 IS NO LONGER AN EXCLUSIVE CUZ ITZ COMING 2 TEH PS3". I played both on PC, and they were both much better on PC.
Pretty sure they've been saying that the last 3 years...
IMO it's the year the PC makes a huge comeback.
I'm surprised this is even making it to console. The Cursed Crusade looks much better. This seems like it should be a $30 PC game, I'm sure it would sell much better.
Just once I would like to see America as the "bad guys" from the point of view of another country, like, you know, how it is in real life.
Is this what people spend their lives doing? Is this really "something to fight for"? Surely you can find another cause in the world worthy of spending this much time, energy and money on that actually contributes to the betterment of society beyond, "HEY GUYZ LOOK U CAN PALY NES GAMES ON TEH PS3"
This kid needs a fucking spanking from his mommy. I wonder how much his parents have to pay for this brat in legal fees.
I've played it. It can't.
I had high hopes for this game but after beta, it's evident that this is nothing new or original. They keep saying it's the "next gen MMO" but it's the same thing we've been playing for 10 years.
Now if only it was a phone, I'd actually consider getting it. It's obviously not going to be as powerful as the PS3 despite what they say, or they will be in competition with themselves, which would just be stupid. Don't expect every PS3 game to come out with an identical version on PSP.
Really? Dead Space had no puzzles. If you think "grab this with your telekinesis and put it in the hole with the big glowing blue thing that might as well be a bullseye" is a puzzle, you must be a little slow in the head. Dead Space was essentially an extremely dumbed down version of System Shock, that stole pretty much everything in terms of game design from Bioshock and put it in third person to make people think it wasn't exactly the same thing. Bioshock was not a horror game...
They are all on PC. Horror on consoles has turned to quick fix, instant gratification, cheap action thrills.
Seeing as how the stupid blue monster things in Avatar looked fucking retarded, Crysis 2 looks much better.
What's with all the crusade and templar games coming out recently? Looks like Assassin's Creed started something...
Also, this actually looks decent. Combat has good weight to it and motion capture is higher quality than I would have expected. I'll keep an eye out for this.
The first Crysis made quite a big splash, if even just for its graphics. I'm a little disappointed this is taking place in a city as I loved the jungle setting but it should still prove to be cool. Doesn't seem to look much better than the first (if at all) but it seems to run smoother.
The best thing about the gameplay in Crysis is that it's a sandbox for the most part. The story is still linear, but the "battle zones" or whatever you want to call them,...
Haha pretty much that.
Okay, so I don't care about 3D or Move gimmicks. Is that the only thing that sets it apart from the last game? If so I'll skip it.
