I don't have a problem with that honestly, I adore good sci-fi games that aren't games like Gears of War (I don't consider games like that sci-fi). I guess it wont be too bad if he doesn't talk THAT much, but in a horror game I would prefer the silent hero. It makes things feel much more personal, like it is you alone in that suit on an abandoned ship. They honestly seem to be downplaying the horror a bit for this one in trailers I have seen, which isn't bad as long as the...
It's only "optional" until you see all your friends leveling above you and your level is capped, or them exploring new zones and you are stuck in the old ones. Take WoW for example. Who plays that game and doesn't buy the expansions? About 2 people.
Also, subscription MMOs are usually updated with free content, balancing fixes and live events all the time. That = content in my books. Better to pay $15 for an entire month of content than $15 on some crappy 2 ...
There's a difference between scares and shocks. Stuff jumping out at you from around the corner is startling. It isn't scary. There are plenty of horror games out there that don't resort to cheap startles like Dead Space. Not a bad game, but not scary. True horror in games is an artform, you can't just have some dead-looking zombie jump up from the ground when you walk near it 20 times in a game and call it scary. It just gets boring and predictable.
I really hope this new engine performs adequately. From what I am told, New Vegas crashed on the PS3 about every 20 minutes and it wasn't even worth playing. Hopefully this isn't another waste of money for PS3 users. I am really looking forward to this game, but I'll most likely play it on PC anyway...but if I were to ever pick it up on PS3, hopefully it wont suck.
There are a lot of cool things about this game, and a lot of creepy things as well. Still on the fence.
It will. As good as Oblivion was, I always felt so disconnected from the world. It had so much potential but it was too ahead of its time. Now that technology has come far enough to support a world like that, Skyrim will most definitely bring the immersion level on par with the rest of the game, which gives it the potential to be one of the greatest RPGs ever made...maybe.
Nope. I hope those kids get their lives ruined by this.
I very very much doubt Diablo 3 will come out this year. "According to leaked information". yeah cause that's always been a reliable source, and you know how much Blizzard delays their games. I'm sure they don't have a release date yet, how is it that the "leakers" do?
As for Torchlight 2, I was under the impression it would be on consoles as well, or at least on 360 as the first one will be.
Valve has been giving more love to ...
Yeah and they'll charge $40 for an expansion every few months. It works out to the same amount, what's the difference?
Being able to follow the story because of the intro is one thing, but not actually playing the first game and experiencing interactions with people you meet in the second (or people being completely absent in the second because you didn't have interactions with them in the first) will take a lot out of the game for you. Just think, if you didn't let your childish PS3 bias get in the way, you could have played both games on 360 or PC a year ago, and gotten much more out of it than you ...
I love these people who have never played an MMO in their lives complaining about monthly fees. Bioware is going to be in deep shit with The Old Republic since they are specifically targetting fans of single player RPGs.
$15 for an entire month of content is too much? As opposed to $60 for 8 hours of gameplay from a short linear game? Durrr think about it... That's like the price of a fast food "meal", once a month. Get over it.
I really hate that Issac talks in this one. It takes away from the atmosphere. They are making this more and more into an action game. I guess that's the only way I'd get it. Hopefully its sci-fi stands up cause the horror certainly isn't.
Say what you will about Lost Planet 2, but I had a lot of fun with it. It was designed as Monster Hunter with guns, not as a Gears of War clone just because it happened to look like one. People need to get that out of their heads. Peoples' expectations of how the game played were based on what it looked like, and not how it was designed. This is one of the few games you can honestly say "you only think it's bad because you're playing it wrong".
It was a...
This kid is such an idiot. Making his parents pay god only knows how much money, and he'll have his salaries garnished for the rest of his life just so he can say LOOK GUYZES I R HAX TEH PS3 IM KEWL ON TEH INTERNEZ
I hope 3 is the last. People over-hyping the series is ruining gaming for me, and for everyone in a way, they just don't realize it. Praising an 8 hour, insultingly linear game is just going to cause over developers to try and emulate that, which is clearly what they are already doing. That's all we ever get now. Insultingly short, linear games that rob us of hour money because we can complete them in one sitting.
There is nothing wrong with demanding more out of our ...
Only black guy in the world to ever be convicted of tax evasion.
Does anyone still play these games?
Also, NIN is like gay electro shit, how are they "warriors of rock"?
Uhhh...if by revive you mean make it retarded and full of gimmicky kids games, then sure!
I doubt many of them make more than 30000-40000 a year. They most certainly do not all make 80000. Maybe as a mathematical average including all the high up execs who sit on their asses doing nothing, then sure.
Because a lot of people on N4G are PS3 fanboys if you haven't noticed. It's natural to assume that on here.
