It was docked marks for story structure and the pointless multiplayer mode. 0.5 each gives you the 9.0 score. Completely understandable. No games are perfect.
I may actually get this. Hardcore mode sounds very intriguing.
One thing that really bothered me about the first game though, and it sounds like they didn't change it for the second, is how "Bioshocky" it is. Running into people who just tell you where to go and what to do, and you have to always do it for them to progress the story...I'm half expecting them to start every sentence with "would you kindly". Hopefully it doesn't hinder the game ...
Of course, it's written by a fat kid.
I very much doubt it. Unless specifically stated, developers will always show the version of the game that looks and plays the best, in most cases it's PC.
I believe Crysis sold well over a million copies, possibly over 2 million at this point on PC. I wouldn't say nobody played it. Maybe not the numbers they were looking for (clearly, since they decided to make the sequel on consoles) but that's most likely due to the high system requirements at the time. I will agree that nobody played it online though. I don't know why they are pushing the online for this game so much this time around. I am hoping they didn't sacrifice the sin...

I have no idea about a release date but their website says there will be more information coming early 2011 so we should hear something soon. I'm sure it'll be the same situation, where the game comes out in Japan before it releases in North America, but who knows. I believe it's being published by Namco/Bandai so there's a chance the game will ship simultaneously worldwide, especially because of the success of the first game in North America a...
I didn't say it was a sequel, I said it was a spiritual successor, much like Shadow of the Colossus is a spiritual successor to Ico. The games are unrelated but have a very similar setting and atmosphere. And it's possible there will be another Demon's Souls somewhere down the line, but not probable if they are making this game which is virtually the same. I honestly don't see what the issue is, who cares if it has the same name or not?
How are they any different from Naughty Dog releasing Uncharted 3 the same year as Guerrilla is releasing Killzone 4? Naughty Dog already said they have "plans for Drake" after Uncharted 3 comes out. It's essentially the exact same situation.
Forums in ancient Rome were used as a gathering place for people to discuss their disagreements and speak their minds. What would a forum be if everyone just agreed with each other all the time? There would be no reason for it to exist. Just because you don't go to Lady Gaga forums and bitch about her doesn't mean you can't or that you don't have the freedom to. The fact that you don't do it is entirely your choice. There are no rules, written or unwritten saying that you ...
Well, a lot of people ARE sick of zombie games to be fair :P It says a lot about a company's integrity when they are constantly making spin-offs and other projects like MMOs, iphone games, etc etc in addition to releasing a never ending stream of sequels. Milking a franchise for a quick buck is not the way to make it grow. An over-saturation of the same franchise will ultimately make people sick of it, especially if it's a niche setting like fallout. Fallout is a sci-fi franchise, but...
The story says video games do make you dumb and depressed, but not fat. I'm saying I see a lot of fat kids who are obsessed with video games, not to mention virtually every "games journalists", the face of video game enthusiasts, are nearly all overweight. Sure, it's not the video games themselves that are making people fat, it's the lack of exercise and general activity due to the fact that they are spending all their time playing games.
The original Demon's Souls was published by Sony in Japan (originally the only place they intended on releasing it) and Sony owns the name, which is why they can't call it Demon's Souls 2 (which is probably a good thing due to the atrocious grammar) since it's going to be on 360, too. No worries though, go watch this trailer for Project Dark, it's essentially the exact same game, just with a different name.
"Demon's Souls 2" is probably never coming out, but they did announce Project Dark, a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls...that looks exactly like Demon's Souls, so I'm sure that's good enough. It'll be the same damn thing without the same name I'm sure, which I would rather have. Also, it's for PS3 and 360, so not a PS3 exclusive.
I'm sick of fallout and all the fallout "post-apocalyptic" knockoffs that have emerged since Fallout became popular again. I don't think I would ever play a Fallout MMO. They need to put the franchise on hold for another 10 years. Only so much depressing brown wastelands people can stomach.
I've never played a Call of Duty game in my life, actually. And how do you know I've never tried to make a mod before? Quit pulling shit out of your ass, you're embarrassing yourself.
TERA does look quite cool, specifically the combat and graphics/animations. Really well done. Some of the races creep me out a bit though, I'm hoping the servers aren't going to be packed with 6 year old girls with kitty ears carrying 7 foot, 300 pound axes just because people think it's "funny".
Also, they already said the Warhammer 40k MMO isn't coming out until at least 2013.
This guy complains about $15 being a waste of money...I wonder how much money he wasted on a masters degree in game design, lulz.
I beg to differ.
Why is this like the biggest deal ever on the internet? Who the hell cares what some random dude does. Making a shitty fanmade MMO based off a shitty real life MMO is the biggest waste of time I can think of. I can't believe the internet is exploding over this.
Because the first game basically copied the exact template of Bioshock, but made it in space (ahem, System Shock) and third person to trick people into not realizing it was essentially the same thing.
