First of all, what? You are the one defending DCUO? I don't think I was defending anything. Are you implying that you are being a child? That statement makes no sense. And if you didn't want me bringing up numbers for Everquest Online Adventures then maybe you shouldn't have used it as your number one example of a successful console MMO, idiot.

What I meant was, it hasn't been revealed yet. Sorry, should have been a bit clearer. I know they have made mention of it but they haven't showed it off yet as far as I know, which is why I highly doubt they would release it this year, especially if they are going to just show it off at QuakeCon 2011 which is fairly late in the year, and Rage is set to come out in September, which doesn't leave much time for Doom 4 to come out. I'm sure they don't want to rush it out withi...

At least wait a few months or years before declaring an MMO a success. It's still the first month (which is free with an MMO purchase) of DCUO. Only subscription numbers will determine the success of an MMO, and those don't even exist yet.

Also, what does SOE have to do with Bioware?

Funny, I played both games on PC. He didn't mention PC once in his entire article. Are games "journalists" really that ignorant?

5489d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

They've said for a while that they are not done the game, which is very clear from the betas. Less than two months to completely wrap up and launch an MMO is completely unrealistic. A lot of people HOPED for March, but that doesn't mean it's realistic or feasible for the company. I'm sure March was just a rumor spread by people who were hyped and anticipating the game too much and it spread. Thinking about it from a development standpoint, they would have to be miracle workers...

You can say that all you want, but none of those MMOs have come anywhere close to costing 300 million dollars. This game can't afford to be "remotely successful".

5489d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

This game, based on the IP and developer alone has the potential to be huge. The gameplay itself may hold those numbers back though...I think the concept is cool on paper but in reality, I don't think it'll work as well as they think it will.

Their number one problem is that they are targeting a single player audience with a game that requires you to play with other players and charges you a monthly fee with a business model that relies on millions of people playing t...

Actually that's later than expected...most people were thinking it would be out by March (which was pretty unrealistic honestly). September makes sense.

Doom 4 hasn't even been announced yet, has it? I highly doubt Doom 4 will come out this year, when they've been showing Rage off for about 3 years now and it's not even out yet... Also, Bethesda doesn't own id, id is owned by Zenimax Media, which also owns Bethesda...that's like saying it'll be the biggest year ever for Bioware because Dead Space 2 is coming out.

New Vegas was made by Obsidian...I'm sure Bethesda gets a chunk of the sales, but sti...

This is all I have to say to that comment:

"Like other commercial MMORPGs in the West, in addition to purchasing the game software, EQOA charges a monthly fee. SOE had predicted 100,000 subscribers by March 2003, but they later reported having only 20,000 to 30,000 subscriptions."

How is that "very successful"? You are an idiot and you just proved my point for me. Millions of copies sold will turn into tens of...

Really? I don't see a huge difference at all. Maybe I need to put "ps3" in my name, then I will magically see this "huge difference" you are talking about.

5489d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

No, I am well aware of how it was before. Everyone said the PS3 would never be any good or ever have good games, etc etc. It was funny how shortsighted people are. It was obvious that good games would start coming to PS3 eventually, and they have. Trust me, I've been defending my PS3 since early 2007. There's a difference between defending against shortsighted comments and being a completely blind, rabid fanboy. I hated the 360 fanboys back then just as much as I hate the PS3 fanboys ...

Is it 2002? Do people actually find these funny anymore?

Wow, they both look good and have completely different art styles. One is photo-realistic and the other has a comic book style palette and shadowing with cartoony looking enemies and are therefore hard and pointless to compare effectively. Who knew.

Oh wait, this is N4G, I mean "LOL U GUYZ R COMPARING A 360 EXCLUSIVE TO A PS3 EXCLUSIVE U GUYZ R SO DUM PS3 IZ TEH BEST EVAR BCUZ I LIKE IT THAT MAKES IT TEH BEST A 360 GAME CUD NEVAR BEET A P[S3 GAM E EVAR U GUYZ R DUM IS NO...

Because the majority of them are playing on console and console gamers are stupid and fickle with the attention spans of goldfish.

Like I've been saying all along, sure, it has a big number of initial sales, but how many PS3 owners are actually going to play the same game for more than a month or two while having to pay a subscription fee? Very few. This is clear evidence of that.

Disappointing? May for Crytek, a PC DEVELOPER. Compared to most 360 games I'm sure it's much better than most games out there. Obviously it's not going to look as good as the PC version of Crysis or Crysis 2, but compared to a lot of crappy looking 360 games out there, it's far from disappointing.

"I was listening to the tail of the song titled H.A.M. by Kanye West & Jay Z. It was then when it hit me just how epic a chorus can sound in the right setting."

I stopped reading after that. I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to rap as "epic", nor would I ever want Commander Shepard saving the galaxy and destroying reapers to the sounds of, "Like a nigga ever left up out this bitch, huh? And if life a bitch suck my dick huh?" ...

Life isn't fair. People are stupid. People get jobs and money they aren't deserving of all the time, let it fucking go already.

5490d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Cause most MMO players are not console gamers. I'm talking specifically about the PS3 version. The sub numbers will drop significantly over the next few months. You're in complete denial if you think millions of PS3 owners are going to sub to the same game for years on end. I don't care if you like the game and think it's good, it doesn't change that fact.

2010 was terrible, I think I bought like 3 games the entire year.
