That number is very feasible, but they failed to say how LONG it would take to start generating that profit. Last week they said they expect the game to have a 10 year lifespan... I'm sure they are banking on having like 5-10 million subscribers, which I doubt will happen. That number might also be factoring in DLC that they will surely put out...it's Bioware. I'm sure they will be charging $7 for every new hour long DLC "flashpoint" they put out in addition to monthly s...
The difficulty aspect of the game was one of its major selling points and the reason it sold way beyond their expectations, and probably the entire reason they are making this game and they know it, they are not going to nerf the difficulty. In fact, from what I've seen, they said they were going to make it harder, since that's almost what's expected of them at this point.
They also said they are getting rid of classes altogether. You are just going to build your...
Aww, no Dragon Age 2 demo.
You can probably download it, not sure if it'll run though.
They are, it's an MMO and that's all it'll ever be.
Perhaps if they gave it a nice update it could be cool. The subject matter isn't something that's terribly interesting to me but I'd probably give it a shot.
I'm sure Rockstar has helped Team Bondi out, especially with financial backing and new tech, but the actual game itself they are not developing.
Price. That's the only deciding factor of whether or not it will succeed. If it's more than the 3DS it will fail, and it WILL be. I'm guessing $329 to $349. It'll have an initial spike in sales from Sony fanboy early adopters who feel they owe it to Sony to buy everything they put out...you know, the same people who pre-ordered Move. But after a few months no one will be talking about it. You know why? Because it doesn't really serve a purpose. Yeah, sure, it can play game...
Damn that's cheap. This game is actually a lot of fun if you come at it with the mentality that it's not a pure third person shooter.
Oh, hard puzzles are coming back with a separate puzzle difficulty level? I suddenly became interested in this. If only they could recreate the magic they had in the first two games, this could be awesome.
Psst, Rockstar isn't making it, they are only publishing it.
Also, who wrote this? "Too bad that the action it’s not taking place in London, but this never stopped Rockstar to make a really good game. L.A Noire will arrive on April 5 and it will be avaible on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360." Do you guys not proofread or have editors?
I know what you mean. I have a feeling this game is going to be filled with so many sappy American pride moments that I wont be able to stomach playing it.
I very much doubt there will be a demo...if anything the Danish mishap was either a hoax or in reference to a demo for Dragon Age Legends. Then again, who knows. This is one of those times I want to be wrong. I would really like to try out Dragon Age 2 and see the changes they made to it.
No, it's exactly the same thing. You had a bad experience with a Lord of the Rings game, therefore you are saying that all Lord of the Rings games to be released afterwards will be the same and suck equally. Lego Batman and Arkham Asylum are both beat-em-up games just as this and Conquest are both "hack and slash" games. That doesn't mean Arkham Asylum sucks because Lego Batman does, and it doesn't mean this will suck because Conquest sucked.
Also, this ...
Is this the "big news" for February 1st?
That's just silly. That's like comparing Lego Batman to Arkham Asylum. Completely different developers (one much more likely to make a fun game than the other), different styles of games and different plots and characters. This will be a fully fleshed out action RPG based on the books with a Mass Effect style branching conversations as opposed to some crappy "arena style" action game that was sloppily put together a series of battles from the movies. They are taking their ti...
I agree. Going to wait on more previews and probably some reviews before (if) I get it but if anyone has a shot at making a fun LOTR action RPG it's them.
Everything about this game sounds better and better when I hear it. I love the idea that dungeons will be even harder, but I love the fact that the game will focus a lot more on exploration now. That means a lot more breaks between the action, but when you run into action, it'll be even harder. That's just awesome. I'm giddy with anticipation.
It's one of the few games that got a lot of acclaim regardless of how it looked it ran. Graphics are meh and the framerate is terrible sometimes. There are lots of issues with physics, especially ragdoll bodies getting stuck in your feet.
The game defied all conventions of modern day games by bringing it back to the olds chool "you die in 2 hits and lose everything and have to start over" mentality, and it being an RPG with virtually no story. Yet through all th...
Yeah...too bad we only get 50gb a MONTH bandwidth usage, and that's a lot. The low end "high speed" plans give 2gb monthly usage...yup, 2. Two gigabytes a monthuh. For $35. If you ever want us to actually use these services you'll have to have a nice long chat with our crooked fucking internet providers.
