I do agree with you Jim, it is stupid and makes the game look really bad since it is often very misunderstood. I really am not a fan of DLC in general and VERY rarely buy any unless I think it's actually worth the money (which is almost never is). Just saying, there is a reason it's done that way.
I came. GOTY.
Just read a page back, the info sounds sooo good. They are keeping the messages, co-op and PvP, but adding more co-op support. Many more spells and items, and the cherry on top, IT'S OPEN-WORLD! Bad assssss.
Honestly if you have both games already and have save files on either 360 or PC, I wouldn't bother getting it (which I'm not). There's really no point. It's the same game. If I ditched my save files from Mass Effect 1 I would feel like I was missing out on a lot of content in two (which you do, there are tons of characters that don't show up if you don't import them, as well as side quests) which would carry over into three. I want to see everything the world has to of...
I have explained this to people 100 times but they never listen, so I'll explain it again I guess. DLC on the disc DOES NOT MEAN it was completed prior to the game's completion. ALL games must undergo a process of rating and certification, which takes an average of about 1-2 months. During this time, developers either start on a new project, or create DLC. Usually if it's a small piece of DLC, it can be completed within those 1-2 months that the game is being untouched while it un...
"Activision has already done such a good job with the story behind Call of Duty: Black Ops" that made me lul.
Also, the addition of DLC map packs to a multiplayer shooter usually marks the point where I stop playing it. I'm not big on shooters in the first place, particularly the multiplayer aspect, so I'll usually quit before that point anyway, but on the off chance that I still actually play the game a few months after release when map packs come out, I am...
Bulletstorm demo was kinda meh. The intro was funny though... Wasn't really looking forward to playing a "high score" level, especially since it pointed out some obvious flaws with the game. I'll still probably pick it up though.
There's no way... Also, EA? That means it's going to be rushed out unfinished, which is what it looks like. This game is nowhere near complete, it wasn't even supposed to come out this year.
I want this game, not because of anything to do with Lord of the Rings, but because I hate hopes that this can replace Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance for console co-op lite-RPG fun. The classes look different than those in the PAX demo, so hopefully that means some customization, even if it's just gender. In this trailer, a human male is the ranger, whereas in the PAX demo, it was a female elf. From what I read in the Gamespot interview, they were pre-determined characters, so either th...
I am really hating Bioware's approach to DLC. "Pre-order the game 5 months before it comes out when you haven't even seen any gameplay and have no idea what the game is about or you'll have to pay for something that clearly should be part of the game already since it's done months before the game even comes out!" crap. I see this as just getting worse, or becoming the norm for every game now. Ridiculous.
Tried it out today, pretty cool for a browser game. I'd like to try something other than training missions though.
Developers are stupid. They think people want to play movies, and movies aren't 100 hours long. Obviously they have to be longer than the average movie, but they are so story driven that most games are based around an hour length of cutscenes and they just throw in boring gameplay to fill time. Most of them seem to be movie director wannabes. There are plenty of developers who make games in the same time, if not a shorter time, that are much longer than 8 hours and are just as polished. T...
This is pretty silly. This will get cracked very quickly anyway. Most Bioware games on PC are cracked and leaked before they are even officially released.
Like I said, there is no reason to completely get rid of it. There are other ways around it that are more beneficial to all parties, rather than eliminate XP gain completely. It completely defeats the purpose of playing co-op in a game like this.
That's really lame...I hate when games do this, there is absolutely no reason for it.
Meh, accuracy causing me not to die because of clumsy controls makes games more fun to me than a slight bit of comfort. Not to mention that fact that there are wayyyy more hotkeys available, making everything in the game easier to use and access than trying to map stuff to a controller. A lot of games suffer because of this.
And mouse and keyboards have been around longer than controllers and we still continue to use them, there's a reason why they are popular as well :P...

Well gee whiz, a bit presumptuous of you to assume that there are no people in the world, or on this site, that can speak multiple languages including English and German, like say, me for example, but thank you once again for proving the ignorance of Americans. Why should "all those German gamers" have to go to a "crappy German site" if they can fully understand English and German? Why not just come to one site that offers both? If you don't like the articles, don'...
"...and all the brown people you can rape."
Probably the same thing it's meant for the last 4 years in regards to multiplatform games: it probably looks and runs like shit.
I agree with the no voice chat thing. You don't really need it in this type of game. There is pretty much only one way to beat a level in Demon's Souls and either your co-op partner(s) know how or they don't. Explaining it to them wont really help, it's something you need to do on your own. That being said, I have a feeling that they are going to make multiplayer sessions "last longer", just because of the openness of the world. It doesn't sound like there will b...
