Feed the fanboys. Fanboys hungry.
But seriously, not even close. There are so many amazing games coming out this year. The world has no more place for another linear third person shooter with zero depth.
That makes me laugh. That's the best compliment they can give to their own game. "Hey guys, play our awesomely stable game!"
Most likely nothing of this will change in Mass Effect 3. More people liked 2 than 1, and 2 got much higher scores all around. If anything, it'll lean even more in the opposite direction, becoming even more of a streamlined shooter with even less exploration. Cities will be smaller, story will be more funneled where at points, you HAD to complete certain missions, or feel like you had to complete certain missions which ultimately harmed you in the past if you didn't rush to the finish...
Some are, I'm sure, but I very much doubt "the average MMO gamer" is sporting a six pack and going out clubbing with their freshly trimmed douchebag beard in a limo packed with supermodels. There are still a lot of fat sacks of shit out there, and obesity levels are at an all-time high. If all the hot people are playing online games, what are all the fat, ugly losers doing?
All of those games were made in the PAST (obviously). Bioware is altering their games to appeal to a new demographic and "dumbing down" their games much more than they have in the past. Their games have been changing ever so slightly since this generation began, and now that they have had a taste for real money, they are really trying to exploit everything they can to get more (see pre-ordering MONTHS in advance simply to get a character that has clearly been finished in time to be ...
Uhh... how did he think that stuff was getting paid for? Magic?
I had a ton of fun with this game. It was far from perfect, but it was just...fun. I understand a lot of peoples' complaints with it, but pretty much all of that can be solved by not approaching the game as if it were a run of the mill third person shooter, because it's not. Get that out of your head and you will have more fun. Unfortunately everyone is brainwashed into thinking that, if it somewhat resembles Gears of War, it has to play EXACTLY like it or it automatically sucks. Thos...
From all the reviews I've read, it's not as good as Killzone 2, soooo...I doubt it? Also, the beta was nothing special. It was one small, uninspired level and...that's it. I wont even get into all the network error issues.
Also, who wrote this? Jeez, it's people like this author that make games journalism look like a joke.
Uh, Jurassic Park was a book long before it was a movie...just sayin'...
New engine. Sounds like they are getting their shit together for this one, but we'll have to wait and see.
This game looks and sounds amazing, offering hundreds of hours of unique, immersive gameplay with AI and environmental effects beyond anything we have ever seen, all existing in a living, breathing world. It makes me sad that it'll get beaten out for game of the year by a linear 8 hour third person shooter with 0 depth and a made-for-TV-movie script. I hate console kids...
Of course it does.
At least I said anyone ELSE, implying that I was as well :P
If I hadn't and people said no, then I could have just said "yup, me neither, just wondering" like these article authors always do...
Funny how this game would have sold 100 times as many copies to PS3 fanboys if it was an exclusive. The game was pretty good but very short and linear and it held your hand the entire way through. Another example of how games try to be movies and remove anything remotely difficult because they think that dying interrupts the flow of the story, which is just stupid...Games are their own medium and have an opportunity to do something incredibly unique, why must they always try to mimic other me...
How is it trolling if I honestly am not that interested in a game and want a genuine reason as to why I should buy it? Just because you're a PS3 owner doesn't automatically mean every Sony game is amazing and worth buying, you do realize that right?
I want a real reason as to why I should buy this game. People on here seem to be talking about it like it's the best game ever, yet NO ONE HAS PLAYED IT. You are all talking out of your ass, completely making shit up....
I know, I don't buy used games for that matter. I wasn't talking about used games, I was talking about buying a new game months after it comes out. Developer still gets money for it. I support developers and think they should get money for their work. I would much rather have the people who spent thousands of hours actually making the game get the money rather than some greedy corporate fatcat sitting in GameStop office headquarters doing nothing. My point was they still have to make ...
All of those games you listed, unfortunately, did not hold a candle to their console counterparts. They were good for handheld games, sure, but my point is that they would never REPLACE console games, which is what this article is insinuating.
Pulling facts out of your ass again huh?
Just because they were hiring for the God of War team doesn't mean anything. It's most likely for an NGP game or something. Besides, how does that mean it'll have co-op?
Graphics don't really mean anything in the handheld market. Sure, they help with hype, but PSP games have traditionally been lackluster as compared to their console counterparts. Graphics don't make a good game. They will need to deliver in terms of gameplay, depth, level design and story if they want to actually make a good game, something that most console series spinoffs have yet to accomplish.
Uncharted 3 is the game to which I was referring. The game that PS3 fanboys all around the internet have already dubbed GOTY, 10 months before it is to be released.
