Isn't that what they said about 5?
I've been defending new video games up until this year. I just can't do it anymore. They suck. They are all the same. They are all shit. Crysis 2 ruined it for me with the promise of an amazing story written by Richard Morgan, then gives us such amazingly written lines like "fuck that noise" when responding to military orders...like...really?
Games are getting shorter.
Games are getting dumber.
Games are getting more expensive.
Yeah, they are going to be perfect as the two wise-cracking Italians in the first Uncharted game...oh wait.
You realize that tons of gamers are going to see this movie regardless of who is in it, right? Guess what? SO DO THEY. You are going to pay money to see this movie regardless of whether or not Nolan North or Mark Walhberg is Drake. They already know they are going to make money off this movie based on the name alone from gamers, but they want to make more, hence why they do stupid things like this.
They will never make a movie just like a game because only gamers would watch...
Nope, people are just idiots. Regardless of how "accessible" it is or how much you don't like it, it's hardly a 0 or 1 out of 10. I don't think any game would rank that low, let alone a AAA RPG from a world renown developer. In case you haven't noticed, people tend to exaggerate on the internet, meaning that a 0 out of 10 is actually a 7 and a 1 is an 8.
That being said, I have been really disappointed in the way Bioware has been headed and this does...
Going a little overkill with these HD remakes...shameful cash grab.
As opposed to someone who thinks the movie will be good no matter what? What do YOU know?
Wow, after all that hype about Crysis 2's groundbreaking 3D technology and all the time and money they put into developing it for the 12 people out there who can actually use the feature, they don't even like it!
I'd say this was an April Fools joke, but it's a month early...
So now you're automatically a troll if you're not a PS3 fanboy? That makes sense.
If Bethesda's track record (and the track record of most multiplatform RPGs) shows us anything it's that the PC version will obviously be superior in any way. You are in denial if you think otherwise. Bethesda games always look better, run better and play smoother on PC with fewer bugs, always. Period. There is no disagreeing with this statement unless you are completely ignoran...
Welcome to the new Bioware.
The trailer was good, but I have doubts about the game...
This just in! Hip hop gamer pulls info out of his ass and makes things up on a daily basis then puts it on his site to get hits, along with his shitty show where you can't understand a word he's fucking saying cause he thinks it's "cool" to talk like a mentally handicapped person. Well I got news for YOU, HHG, it's not funny to make fun of the disabled, that is why I disapprove of your show!
I would have guessed Fast Food for the Atari 2600.
"As the player acquires more points, the speed of the game increases. The transitions between speeds are indicated by the text "YOU'RE GETTING FATTER!"
Seems like the type of game he put thousands of hours into...
Fail.
Um... pay checks, yes, bonuses, no. Developers receive bonuses based on how well their games sell, which they usually receive well after the game is released. These bonuses are often as large as their salary if the game does well. In addition to that, funding from game sales go back into the business to cover costs of future games as well as the costs of new buildings, new tech, new hardware, etc.
They receive money for the initial shipment of sales before the game is availab...
"A recent article in the Chicago Tribune broke surprising news about gender inequality in the games industry: According to their research, there are a vastly smaller number of women in game development, journalism, and research."
How is that surprising? That's like saying, "omg, breaking news, we just found out that there is a gender inequality in the monster truck driving industry!"
This has been known, and expected, for a long time. ...
It is all self contained. Yeah, GameStop has to pay money to buy used games from people, but they are spending and selling their own money. I am saying, in relation to the DEVELOPER of the game, the outcome is the same. They receive $0 from pirating AND from the resale of games. The ONLY difference is that in one situation, someone (who ISN'T the developer) is making money off it, and the other, no one is making money off it. From the point of view of the developer, they are getting rippe...
Very true, this is why MMOs can never be pirated (other than private servers which don't typically work very well), which is a good example of how people will pay (sometimes through the nose) for social features and interactions. In order to ensure your game sells well, you need to appeal to people and offer them things that they want, that they are unable to obtain without a legitimate copy of the game. Online multiplayer only goes so far when you have a single player campaign that you c...
Just like every other game that comes out these days, awesome...
