People don't really realize how fast technology is changing. Remember when the Original XBox came out and only supported Broadband, there was the same cry saying that not enough people have it and all this yahda yahda nonsense about its going to fail. Now look at 360 and it's 10 million + broadband users and only in how long (i think about 5 years), and Sony's PSN is growing, so the age old excuse that there is not enough people with _______ (insert tech), to warrant a change is bull caca.......

my only gripe is the problems with the indestructible sand bags, a lot of fps do things like that, hopefully they fix that. But it still looks like a great game, and the fact that there is fully functional destructible environments, not like the partially done stuff of yore (and to be released), it'll make multiplayer all that more interesting. Can't wait....

Hope Gears 2 is as indepth....as far as destructible enviros go....

I know that, that's exactly what i said, but i got disagrees because i pointed out that the PS3 and 360 have the same video ram. I had to correct someone mouthing off that both Video and System RAM was faster than 360's, which is not true. But I did say that the system ram is the only differentiating component and is extremely fast (about 4.57 times faster than the 360's unified setup).

I guess someone assumed that i was lying, i don't know. Probably an uninformed blind fanboy....

for telling the truth, plus facts. I mean please if the 360's 512mb of GDDR3 RAM runs at 700mhz, and the PS3's 256mb of GDDR3 RAM run at 700mhz, then how are they not running at the same speed. The 256mb of XDR RAM is a beast and has no equal running at 3.2ghz, and i said that it was faster than the 360's ram. So how was i wrong and got disagrees, I guess wonders never cease.

but the OS in the PS3, like the 360, is always active and runs in the background, but with every firmware they've done, they have been reducing the size of the ram used by the OS.

6609d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

the xdr ram is way faster than the 360's yes, but that's only 256mb, the GDDR3 VRAM is the same speed (700mhz, just in case you didn't know, because you seem to want to infer a lot).

6609d ago 8 agree5 disagreeView comment

because if you go to the sony official website, the ps3 has 1 256mb GDDR3 VRAM and 1 256mb XDR RAM, so some of you guys need to stop trying to change things. The XDR ram is impressive, but the GDDR3 Ram is the same as the one in the 360.... So someone should maybe sue sony for putting the wrong type of ram on their site....

I was always assuming that i'll buy a PS3 come this upcoming November, i figured by then it'll have the DualShock 3's bundled in and maybe, just maybe wireless headsets, who knows. But I might have to find a 60gig, since i know that it is the best model. and the fact that i could always upgrade the hdd, makes the 80gig model pointless when compared to the 60gig.

But for now I'm very Happy with my 360, only 3 flashing lights once, and i'm behind in beating my games, you can chec...

for me the PS3 exclusives i want to play are Uncharted mostly, I heard that Resistance was pretty good and 2 is shaping up to supersede it. I'm not into GT Pro, and if GT5 does not show enough improvement than i won't get that either. Forza 2 is just leaps and bounds better (except for graphics, but the GT series has always been known for that, i'm more interested in gameplay and realism and Forza has all simulators beat there for now [in my opinion]). LBP looks awesome and that's what i like...

but there are gamers out there that don't care for achievements, but let's say that the 360 version didn't suffer from framerate problems, or that the PS3 version ran better online. Those can be important enough to warrant a change with which system to get it for.

It still has some value. It's just that fanboys are too loud, and too ignorant to realize that they are ruining some aspects of gaming.

If you only like one system, then why would you care about multi-p...

I currently own a 360; and because i pay for live, have noticed myself that multi-plat titles perform better, and am in love with the controller (because after Dreamcast i never went back to the PS controller, and 360's is just a spinoff/improvement over DC's controller), when i get my ps3 i will still buy multi-plat titles for 360. But the PS3 exclusives is what i'm after, and can only be played on PS3. I already enjoy 360 exclusives.

I was just trying to show that there is a ...

as i stated below, this information has its value with multi-console owners, who don't want to buy both games. If you only own 1 console, why would you even care. If you plan on getting a second console than yeah, i think this information can be useful to you also.

Articles like these are only flamebait to rabid fanboys. If you only have one console, and only plan on owning one console, then articles like these shouldn't even matter to that person. But like i said before, if yo...

but this information is valuable to multi-console owners. So i see the importance of these comparisons. The single console owners are the ones that come on here flaming, but all in all, this information has its value.

that's what i love about Halo 3 and the 360, it feels like a gaming community through and through, keep up the good work, and i can't wait to see what they come up with next.

i'm really doubtful that they just thought of this, i think they pretty much had this planned out the whole time.

Some people like to think that these companies just react, when a lot of them pretty much had these ideas planned out the whole time. They don't have the time or want to waste the money on a wait and see reaction type gameplan. It's called strategy, and most of their marketing ideas are planned out months to half years in advanced.

Like this whole RPG...

see Riot and i had a good debate, but you my friend are acting fanboyish (not calling you one, but it's just that your actions are similar to a typical fanboys).

But let me get down to the nitty gritty, 360 does not support motion sensing and has not formally annouced that it will include motionsensing, our comparison was with the Elite 120 gig 360 which comes with a wirless controller, but jus' a lil' bit of info, the core system (renamed) now comes with wireless controllers, ...

the only reason why the 360 was close to price with the ps3 was because he added the cost of 3yrs of live service. And if you are talking about going to the store and getting everything the PS3 still equates to more expensive, not saying that it's not worth it, because if you are buying, you certainly want it, and no comparison in price is going to affect your decision.

But for argument sake the run down is still

first you have to buy the hdmi cable, it's not included, as far as a bundled in rumble controller, currently you have to purchase separately online (shipping charges vary) you have to purchase a headset seperately, so Jason didn't lie, i just think you 2 are misinformed or you really don't know what you are talking about....

as for 360, you don't need to buy an hd-dvd drive to watch HD movies, you can even watch Blu Ray exclusive movies on 360 in wonderful HD right now. So i'm ...

I don't want a console that can last 10 years. Technology is forever changing, in your PC would you keep your same videocard for 10 years. I'm sorry, but no amount of firmware updates is going to change outdated hardware. Nothing is going to fix the split memory, already outdated gpu, the 2x blu ray drive. None of that is being updated with all the firmware updates.

On the 360 side, nothing is going to update the tri-core processor (which can be dual threaded to act like six),...
