if what your saying is right, wouldn't that hurt the game attach rate. That would then decrease the amount of games bought with the console purchase, if they were just for backup purposes.
So that would mean that the attach rate numbers are actually higher on new 360 purchases. Right....?

I totally agree, even 360 only news is full of Sony Fanboys that constantly bash the 360. But I think it was ingenious what Sony did (making the PS3 a Blu Ray player), but at the same time it's what's hurting Sony. The game sales don't reflect the hardware sales. And it makes sense on both sides of the coin.
