Good news from Valve. They're a great company.

@Tmac
Xbox Users waiting for FFXIII have plenty of JRPG's to play while they wait, Many from Square Enix themselves.

I don't care about God of War III, I wanted to hear what Team Ico had up their sleeves.

I'm one achievement away from 1000 achievements on the Xbox 360 version. So I've had many hours staring at the 360 version. It's obvious by the resolution and the low res texture maps that this isn't the 360 version. But for the Wii, this looks top notch. I re-bought Resident Evil 4 for the Wii and it was worth re-experiencing. I intend on re-buying Dead Rising for Wii. I'm sure it will be good.

With the exception of the lower resolution, it looks very similar to Xbox 360 version.

Sony is going to have to work harder on 1st party development. This can only be a good thing for Sony Fanboys.

Xbox 360 doesn't have a history of canceled games. However, PS3... do I even need to talk about all the delays and cancellations? ...Last Remnant...

You're neutral and yet you only own a PS3.

PS3 owners are still getting FFXIII. It's not like Square Enix made it a Wii exclusive like Capcom did with Monster Hunter 3. This is a good thing. It means that Sony has to work harder on first party development. It makes for better competition. If it weren't for the competition from Microsoft, the PS3 would still be $600.

And if it weren't for competition from Sony, Xbox 360 users wouldn't have all the goodness that has come to them. It works both way.

@chasuk08

Well, Xbox 360 users will probably get a 4 disc version of Final Fantasy XIII (similar to Blue Dragon)and PS3 users will get 1 Blu-Ray with a 5 gig/20 minute install. So in the end, what do you want? Do you want to spend 5 seconds changing out a disc or do you want a 20 minute installation.

I don't think I've ever seen a reaction to News like this on N4G. I guess we know that Pigs fly and Hell has frozen over. I don't know if any news will shock me ever again.

When I owned my Video Game store (which I sold this past December), I depended on E3 to meet new wholesalers and see up coming product. The past few years leading up to the "E3 change", E3 started giving priority to the media over anyone else. Half the people didn't belong there. Most people would start these small $h1tty websites and get in as media.

How many media outlets need to report the same news? E3 should be open to the public for manybe 1 or 2 days out of the 3...

At this point, I don't think Playstation 3 needs another price drop. Blu-Ray is now a valid format and the PS3 is a fantastic deal for what you get; plus, Sony needs to focus on what's at hand.

As soon as firmware 2.4 was up, I downloaded it. Now a number of news sites had different reports as to what games were to have trophies. So I started up every PS3 game I own to see if there would be a trophy update; nothing! It was a disappointment. You'd think they'd have a number of trophy updates for at least 1st party games.

The Playstation 2 wasn't that reliable. I was the weakest of the three last generation consoles. However, it was the best not because of fantastic hardware stats but because of spectacular games. Whats Good hardware without good games? I'm tired and going to bed. Take care - Dannagar

@TwoFace

I'm trying to think of the most impressive polygon pushing game out and after much though, I think it's Dead Rising. What other games has 1000's and 1000's of fully detailed on screen Zombies/Enemy's at once (with no hint of slow down)?

However, Visuals, Resolution, frame rate, game play all come down to the resources, money, time, talent and heart invested in a game. It doesn't matter what the hardware stats are. It's not hardware that makes good games, it'...

60 fps isn't that special. Playstation One, Sega Saturn and N64 have plenty of games that run at 60 fps. At least a quarter of the 360 library runs at a rock solid 60 fps.
Just glancing at my collection alone:
Virtua Fighter 5
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4
Devil May Cry 4
Bomberman Act Zero
Sonic The Hedgehog
Virtua Tennis 3
SEGA Superstars Tennis
Rumble Roses
Dead Or Alive 4
Ace Combat 6

You can send me a friend invite over the PSN if you'd like. My user name is Dannagar (providing you have Firmware 2.4). If I thought the Playstation 3 was a top notch system, then you'd hear me praising it but I don't. I have a lot of issues with PS3.

I wasn't a fan of the Original Xbox (though I own it and about 20 games). I thought the Original Xbox had way too many Shooter and not enought diversity. To me, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 switched places. The larg...
