Portal == Genius && L4D == Genius && TF2 == Genius. There's pure innovation and awesomeness in those games. and hell, I loved episode 2, and I'm dying in wait for episode 3.
Valve hasn't lost their magic. Plus, using the same engine is irrelevant. They have to think everything up, utilize their hilarious humor, and focus their magic on all the projects. Obv, you're cranky towards them, but I love everything that Valve has done, even currently....
Music games is always the same gameplay. Always, little notes coming at you that you have to press on time.
FPS's there a lot of diversity in the way that they play, and the stories, and the gameplay itself. Like, there's Portal, which is technically a FPS, but it's focus is solely on puzzles, or System Shock 2/Bioshock which are FPS that have RPG elements and are atmospheric and scary, or Metro 2033 which has.. bad stealth, but also amazing atmosphere and strong...
Is everyone and their mother going to do an "I'm Cranky at Valve" rant? First of all, you really cannot rush genius. They will release the game when it's ready, and I appreciate that. With Valve, you never have to worry like you do with other developers if they're just shoving it out the door without all the polish they can put on it.

Xbox 360 has a much, much much better interface, and it's much more built to foster a community. Though, I do like PSN's store better. But honestly, on 360, you can see who's in what party, what they're all playing, and have the option to join right in. It's really much better. Also, I agree with halochampian, the 360's controller is nicer. Much more comfy for those long gaming periods.

I'll most likely bite. I can't really see them doing free access to PSOne classics.. they've made a bunch of money off me alone with those, I buy them up like hotcakes to play on my PSP... I'm nostalgic on the go. Don't judge.
But, I'd def nab it if they have the extended warranty, party chat, and access to betas.... and discounts on store content, yesss please. haha. We'll see I spose.

Valve really is like the Pixar of video games. They always release something that's pure genius, and make it seem like it's so easy to just come up with fantastic idea after fantastic idea.. I just can't comprehend the amazingness and consistency.
The only thing I'm concerned about is length, because from everything I've heard, the game is going to be another slice of perfection.
But, who am I kidding? I'm going to buy this Day 1 no matter what. It's Valve and it's portal, I'm completely sold.

Portal is pure innovation and awesomeness. It's completely different than all FPSs on the market, because you never have bullets, and you never need them. Just making a path with your portal gun, using the crazy physics, loving your companion cube, knocking over little cute turrets, and solving puzzles.

But, I think it would be funny-er if the teddy bears weren't so tall and human looking, and were more round and cuddly. I really like the concept, just they didn't go cutesy enough, honestly. They need to take a page out of Happy Tree Friend's book.

Anyways Valve wasn't being cocky when they said that making games is hard. Well, durr, it is. & it honestly made me giggle a little. It was funny, and honest, and obvious. I was disappointed, but Valve will make Portal 2 just that much better with the wait. Also, Portal is an amazing showcase of innovation and awesomen...

I do want to hear more about Agent, I've been a little skeptical of Rockstar since GTA IV, but I'm soooooo super excited for LA Noire, and I'm hoping that when I actually hear more about Agent, I'll be super excited for that too.
