It's worth playing the first Portal on it, if you don't have a decent PC. Just rent it or something.
Final Fantasy XIII was sure to be a huge PS3 system seller, until it went multi-platform.
While I personally love Valve and Portal, I don't see this as being a system seller for the 360 if it had stayed exclusive, because everyone knows that Valve favors the PC so much. So, if anything, Valve games will always be a PC seller, not a system seller.
So, even though I love Portal more than any Final Fantasy game (I'm not into JRPGs) I think Final Fantas...
Kevin Butler is always amazing, and his speech was hilarious. Plus, there were legit surprises, Gabe Newell & Portal 2 && the PS3 being the best console for it instead of the 360, both still probably much worse than the PC version, though... Twisted Metal X, which I couldn't really care less about, but I know a lot of people want. Plus, I'm one of the few that actually still loves their PSP, so I appreciated them spending time to have that little montage trailer &&...
The people want Kevin Butler.
Kirby Epic Yarn. Not yawn. Lil respect for Kirby's awesomeness, please.
It looks fun, I love Kirby games, and the new yarn style looks really cool, especially with the new gameplay elements. Kirby always seems to be doing something completely new, like Kirby Tilt-n-tumble back on Gameboy Color, to Canvas Crawl on the DS. They somehow just think of something random and awesome new to do.
Yay Kirby. <3
They actually talked about games. For everything. Move, PSP, and the amazing PS3 games. Plus, Gabe Newell was there. <3 I approve. Also, PSN Plus seems pretty appealing, and worth the $$.
A+ from me! It was like Christmas, with the surprises, and new stuff. Yay!
I might actually get this.. Not necessarily because of cross-game party chat, which is nice, but because of all the other junk. But, if I ever make friends on the PSN, then I'll be happy that there's party chat, but atm it's kind of a non-issue. None of my friends have a PS3, but I'm kind of making it my main system as of late. So, meh. :)
Nintendo 08 especially. Wii Music. Terrible.
M$ just failed pretty epically this one. I only liked seeing MGS Rising, Gears 3, and Halo, and what little we saw of Fable, and the Crytek exclusive.... and that's it. That's all they had for games. It took like 20-30 minutes.
Nintendo and Sony kind of tied. They both showed off some amazing games, plus Portal 2 is going to PS3. Super awesome. I mean, it just seems to me that Nintendo and Sony actually focused what I love about E3, new games. Plus, there were actual announcements. Surprises. It was like Christmas.
M$ had .. not much. It was very much not like Christmas. It was like if I had two twin sisters, and they wanted to talk across the country, and make me watch them have a stupid, annoying...
They didn't. It's between Nintendo and Sony, definitely. I mean, Sony had Portal 2, and I loooove Valve.. so I'm kind of leaning towards them.. but then there was Donky Kong Country with Nintendoo....
Sigh, they both win. M$ is the only loser.
That's actually really awesome. I've been slowly making the PS3 my main console, and this is just another step.
Also, that trailer was to die for. I'm soooooo excited.
I'm not a 360 fangirl or a PS3 fangirl. However, I am a Valve fangirl.
Direct quote from Valve's Portal 2 article in Game Informer - "With over 70 industry honors, and 30 Game of the Year awards, it's impossible to deny Portal's success."
That is quality. Valve is quality. Valve is literally my favorite developer. I understand you're responding to a 360 fanboy, but you're just being silly if you think that PS3 gamers didn...
I didn't lower my standards. I didn't have to. This actually is a complete non-issue for me. I've never had a ring happen to any of my games, and except one Rock Band 2 disk I was silly enough to let someone borrow, none of my games have any scratches at all. For all of my systems, I just take the game out before I move it. I keep them on a steady surface. and I don't let other people touch them. & nothing bad happens to my games. I'm especially careful with the Wii a...
Yay Kirby <3
Donky Kong Country was like. my favorite series.
I'm super excited. Thank goodness I kind of .. stole.. my mother's Wii to play Super Mario Galaxy 2.. now she's just not getting it back.. ever <3 Oh well.
Go Nintendo <3
I'm actually leaning towards Sony as of late. & what I said wasn't dumb.
"[It] doesn't matter who innovates more, it matters who delivers with games." & that's the damn truth.
Kinect might be innovative, with the voice, and the body nonsense. I mean, they definitely introduced some new concepts.. but if there's just going to be cheap party games, then it doesn't matter.
Move seems more like a copy bec...
You don't need to shake it violently. The disc will slide at least a little when it's going from flat to vertical. And then the bozo practically drops it back down. I'm not saying it's the best designed system at all, there's a flaw. But, it's so easy peasy to avoid, that I don't get how people can get up in arms over this.
I honestly don't get how people experience this problem at all. In any of my systems, once the game is running, I don'...
Keep your wired controllers out of the way, keep your 360 on a hard, solid surface above the floor, make sure it's laying flat and is even, and for the love of goodness, don't let anyone touch it other than you.
Temporarily, I'll have to relocate my 360 downstairs from time to time to let other people watch my netflix with me and be sociable, and my power cord needs to go where they walk, so I remind them every time they get up to not trip and to watch out. I nor...
durr the PS3 itself would be fine, just like the 360 itself was perfectly fine.
The issue is the disc, I don't know if I lifted my PS3 up, and then practically dropped it back down, while the game was actually running, that the disc would just be okie dokie. I'm not going to try it either..
Buuut you could try it, on video, since you sound so completely sure. And then I'll believe it, kay? <3 thanks! :D
That Portal 2 is definitely going to be much better than FFXIII in terms of quality. Because Valve is synonymous with quality.
But, The Orange Box was never really seen as a system seller for the 360, and Portal 2 was never slated to be one either. Because, Valve alwaysalwaysalways prefers the PC above all else. It's who they are. Plus, the Orange Box port did happen, even if it was kind of craptacular. So, Portal was beyond not a system seller at that point.
