....Bitch. I never buy crapboxes from the store.
And the Halo System.
Win. :)
I dunno. I'm tempted.. But I don't care about 3D. and handhelds always lose my interest within a few weeks..
Plus, I want to see what the PSP2 will be before I make the plunge.
wouldn't let Halo stray to another system. Nintendo, M$ and Sony are all in competition against eachother. M$ would not give away their cash cow..
There are currently 7 positive reviews on metacritic. 6 mixed, with 3 of them being 70+, and only 3 negative.
Maybe you shouldn't trust Jim Sterling's reviews. He also gave Naughty Bear a 50, Deadly premonition a 100, AC2 a 45, Heavy Rain a 70 - while having an article about how Deadly Premonition is blatantly better than Heavy Rain..
And Edge is always super critical of everything .. ever. They're consistent.
Jim Sterling isn't some force in the industry. He's an attention-whore of a troll.
In my opinion, he should never be let anywhere near a metascore. Trashtastic.
I mean, Edge .. whatever. They're harsh, but most of the time, the points they make are valid, and you know when a game gets a good review by them, they probably earned it.
But Jim Sterling should not be allowed to factor in to the metacritic, imo. He's a troll just trying to get hits. Like, look at his track record.
I usually agree with the games that IGN reviews well. Not Alan Wake, but I can't expect IGN to be correct all the time, haha.
"You could always power through with some special ammunition, or grind past opponents with charged sonic blasts. But really, you'll only be cheating yourself out of all those marvelously entertaining chain-reaction killing sprees and the resulting scoring bonuses. [Nov 2010, p.72]" The blurb from OXM, on metacritic. So, it's possible to blow past the fun stuff, apparently.
I mean, I usually agree with IGN when they like a game, and they gave it an 80... And ...
and my mother let me borrow her Wii to take to college. I have everything, literally, except the handhelds.
:)
and I don't regret it. PS3 has good exclusives, but I use it primarily for single player games. I don't use the online much, but then I have my xbox 360 for that. I'm not knocking PSN, or anything. Just, I already paid for XBL, I'm not going to let it go to waste.
But, anyways, they're both good systems. They both have fun exclusives. They both have extras that come with the system.
Get both. :)
"everything."
I bought a PS3 for the exclusives, and I don't regret it. But you, sir, are definitely overstating it. The 360 has variety, too, you just have to look for it.
It's an mmorpg where you never have to deal with people. So, basically, a really good one. You can see them, but no one can spam "PENIS" at you.
I don't think so.
I wouldn't buy an MMO based on any of those..
Physical media might be being phased out, but I think we'll have at least another gen of consoles.
Hell, no one even knows what the video game future will be like if it all goes digital.. We'll just have to wait and see..
Which is weird, right? When I think Cloud, I think PC.
Maybe Pachter is Team OnLive..
"Ben There, Dan That!" is hilarious. And free. So there is literally no reason to not try it out.
& I did laugh out loud.
But, there are so many games that are funny without being in the humor genre.. Like L4D is one of the funniest games to me. But, with multiplayer games, it's really what you make of it.
Why is he talking so much smack now? It's constant Kotick articles today!
Someone just smack him.
and buy it used. Then you can have your cake and eat it too.
I hate Jim Sterling, and therefore, I hate the entirety of Destructoid.
So, I'm going to be annoying and blindly comment without reading the article <3
Reach is amazing. They need to not cry.
