Gaming isn't a boys club any longer, sir.
I love Alistair. I love him. He's flippin' adorable x 340982982342. .. and I also love Nathan Drake.
I do not love James Sunderland, though. Sure, he's all nifty for going into Silent Hill for his wifey.. But, when a dead chick sends you a letter, you do not try to find her. Zombie alert. And, if a man ignores Zombie alerts.. then he is not the correct man for me.
The rest of the game was pretty epic and interesting, and The Joke was a big part of it..
And then he roids out? Out of all of baddies, I would think that he would be the one to see how that might not work out.
Because there has been so much hype, and it's a Gran Turismo game, and it's already taken forever to come out, and then people were like WOOO release date! Only two weeks left!
And now, they get slapped in the face with another delay? Sure, there are Sony fans who will just be fine with it, and cheerful like you boys, but there are going to be a whole mess of people that are annoyed..
And rightly so? Idk. I'm a Valve fangirl, I'm used to wai...
But one thing that's really weird is that none of the GameStops around here are having midnight releases for it. Like, one. And I'm Long Island based now, there's at least 8 within 15 minutes of me.
I love midnight releases. It kinda bums me out. I just expected there to be one for GT5..
Some guy came into my GameStop and he paid off his GT5 and he's like so when is this game coming out again? And we told him Nov 2nd ! And he literally asked "ARE YOU SURE?! THERE ARE NO MORE DELAYS?!"
And we were just like "..Pretty sure." And he's like "I'll believe it when the game is in my hands." I thought he was silly to be skeptical, but apparently not.
..That's it. It was funny to me.
I hate it. I literally do not buy a game if the reviews are mixed.. I can't afford to spend the money on them.
Like, I really wanted Just Cause 2, but I didn't buy it, because the reviews weren't spectacular.. And it was 59.99..
As long as you learn early on to save often, then you're golden.
I played Fallout 3 quite a bit, and sure, I encountered some freezing, some weird random glitches, and one time my dog got stuck in a wall, and I had forgotten to save, so I had to re-do some of the stuff just to get my doggie back..
But, honestly, I didn't care. I learned to save really often, and the game is amazing enough for me to not complain. The story is epic, and there are so m...
If they were in my price range, then yes, I would buy them new? It might not be day 1, but I'd rather give developers some $$ than get a few dollars off... I guess I can see how what I said is kind of ambiguous, but I meant that every game that I would have bought already, I would buy new instead of being tempted by pre-owned prices.
But now, I work at GameStop, and I have an edge card, so I pretty much buy everything I can used, just to make it all affordable.
The cost of development has sky-rocketed since the games of old, but if they lowered the price to like $40 for new games, then I would buy every single game new, since that's much more within my price range.
But, that won't happen.. So, meh.
It is good for retailers, but it's also good for cheapo consumers..
But, if you're going to look at GameStop, or any other retail store that does that nonsense, they push reserves and try to get everyone to buy the game new day 1, which helps the game industry.
Meh. This argument is so old now. Can't game journalists think of a new topic? maybe?
$15 per each map pack? Pretttty sure they're making bank.
I'm not looking to sober up.
<3
Looks interesting. Depending on how it shapes up, I might invest!
I'm a zombie addict.
Be jealous.
Kinect has shown nothing. But, at least to me, the Wii showed absolutely nothing for a while as well. So, who knows?
I do not have high hopes. I really don't care about Kinect at all.. But, as a gamer, I will go where the great games are. If there are ever great games for Kinect, I will be forced to at least look into it. 'Til then, meh.
But, back in the day, I felt the same about the Wii.
And, after a few years, it's really finally shaped up enough for me to consider it an actual console that warrants my time.
I'm not.
But, I'm sure there's a buttload of people that are, and honestly, anything that adds more longevity to this generation is welcome in my eyes. I am not interested in buying a new console. At all. So, that's how I'm looking at it. And, there are literally no shortage of multiplats, even if M$ is kind of lacking some exclusives.
But, I probably won't use it. I like to dick around with my friends when I play co-op lolol.
My GameStop won't even allow people to pre-order the hardened edition anymore.. Which means a bajillion people pre-ordered already..
