wasn't a bad game. The story was hilarious, and it was obviously a work of love, with all the references.
The only bad part about it was the RTS - elements. If it had stayed a hack and slasher or even some other kind of game, or really polished the RTS - elements.. I think it could have been super great.
Plus, what the fudge are you talking about, anyways?
Tim Schafer is epic.
Team Schafer!
Kotick has been saying a lot recently, huh?
Plus, the problem with Brutal Legend was not with the story or anything like that. It was epic and funny. If they had kept it a slasher, I would have played the nonsense out of it.. Just those darn RTS elements that they threw in.
Tim Schafer has made many great games. Just because one element in Brutal Legend didn't work - at least he took a chance, instead of releasing the same game over and over like Activi...
That's what I do. The only $$ I gave them recently was for the COD 5 map packs.. I <3 Nazi Zombies.
But, in reality, Activision will never fall. They're buddied up with Blizzard, for one, and they also have the Call of Duty brand.
Plus, porn != half life.
Porn has sex and kinky things. It's more universally accepted that children should not be exposed to that nonsense at a young age.
Plus, Half-Life, while being super amazing.. is still just a game. I'm sure Molyneux has put everything into perspective for the kid. The real harm of a kid playing a M rated game comes when a parent gets their child a mature game, and they don't care enough to actually learn what's happen...
Is it liked a master?
or like da master?!
Mind-boggling.
Timed exclusivity of DLC for GTA IV was actually a really smart plan by M$. It may not have helped out the consumers, but they're a business. I don't see Sony letting their exclusives be developed for the 360 as well. I mean, by your logic, that's what they should do, because it helps gamers out the most.
Anyways, timed exclusivity made it so when GTA IV came out, and everyone was rushing to buy a current gen console, they had many many reasons to not just snatch...
That this was Capcom's first game of the new generation, their first game on the Xbox 360, and it was a new IP. New IPs are always a risk, and I think they were doubly worried since it was so early in the new console era..
They appreciate the support of M$ and the 360 gamers, for helping Dead Rising become a hit.
Plus, the PS2 is a different console than the PS3. This is rewarding the very same console and gamers that made Dead Rising a hit.
Well, Dead Rising was like, the first game I bought for my 360. Really, my first new game of the generation.
So, it's kinda cool that i'm getting exclusive DLC from them after all these years, I guess. I know PS3-only gamers are peeved, but, really, Sony gets a lot of exclusive games, and a bunch of exclusive DLC.
Adorable.
And pretty true..
All I picture is E3 2008.
Not pretty.
I play FPSs on my PC. It's all about Steam.
For every yearly franchise, there's a bunch more games that get released a lot less frequently / new ips.
There's so much variety this generation. The big titles will usually be the brands the people know and trust, but there are so many new IPs, and people taking chances this generation, too.
Like, every platform has it's new titles that take risks or re-imaginings of old franchises. Some of them may not be huge block busters, but you just have to look for them, and be willing to give them a chance.
Sure, Halo is a first person shooter. Halo is the reason why we have so many space marines..
But it's Bungie, and they're what's right with the industry... They care about the fans. They're all about fan service. Everyone knows that Bungie could release a terrible game, slap the name Halo on it, and they would sell their millions of copies regardless.. But they don't do that.
I really want to get it nowww..
is why you pre-order games, bitches.
But no, that was kinda funny. "You better try harder, bitch!"
But, I really wouldn't call it police brutality. The only reason that guy went down so hard was because he was super drunk. & I bet it didn't even really hurt.
I got 4 disagrees, so maybe you're correct. I was dazzled by The Last Guardian and Ico / SOTC actually being re-released, maybe, and some other games being announced / new junk about already announced games..
Compared to last years, I'd still say this was way better. Last year, I barely paid attention to TGS, there was literally nothing announced that I really truly wanted.
I remember reading articles last year about how disappointing it was..
Activision won't be destroyed. We all want it to be, because we hate Bobby Kotick, but it's still not going to happen.
COD is too huge. Acti-Blizzard is still in place. They made way too much money off of MW2 to die because of some bad PR, anyways.
Plus, Activision has had bad PR thanks to Kotick for a very very long while now. Nothing has changed.
