I highly doubt this report. The 360 is the cheapest built console of all 3 next generation systems in terms of materials and production. It has a 1982 disk tray with spray painted chrome on the elite (everyone else is slot loader), loud and clunky fans, no wifi and the wireless controllers don't even come with rechargeable batteries. Losing money on each console my ass.
Here's something interesting looking at the first screenshot in the article (not the video)
The car models are better on PS3, but environment detail is better on 360. Just look at the bumper of the driver's car. It's completely screwed up looking on the 360 with super jagged lines. The PS3's is super smooth.
But, look at environment and it's sharper on 360. If you want a good reference point, just look at the logo on the building to the left. It's fuzzy/blurry on PS...

Embargo's are not optional or voluntary. The way it works in most cases is you either receive a very clear email before the game is shipped stating the embargo date or WITH the receipt of the game it states that by accepting the game you agree to not publish any articles until the specified date. Obviously no one posting here has actually played the game either. I was at E3 and yes, it's very much just an expansion. That's why they are throwing in all the damn map packs and crap to try to give reasons why you should pay $60.
Really, though, it just felt like Halo without Master Chief. But, it was as much a "new" game as much as Left 4 Dead 2 is a "new" game. In other words, it's not really. It's an expansion in the fullest regard.

While $150 is insulting, a lot of people will do this offer. The average consumer is not very well informed and more importantly will opt for a $150 PS3 Slim (after they trade in their PS3) rather than try to sell it on eBay. The convenience factor is sort of what they will give in to since people don't like having to wait for their machines to sell on eBay and some people just want cash now. I think the price is a bit absurb for one. $249.99 for a handheld? Are you serious? The consoles are now $299.99 for the "top models" and a Wii is $249.99. So Sony basically says, you could buy a Wii or a PSP for the same price? Or for $50 more you could get a 360 Elite or PS3 Slim? That makes no sense. We should "expect" a price drop, but unfortunately we're not getting one any time soon. They really need to rethink their pricing.

The whole thing sounded like a bunch of bull from the beginning anyway. But still, sorry PS3 fans this is one update that regardless of the reasons I don't see the PS3 ever getting. Three years in and firmware 3.0 is a big letdown and didn't include any of the rumored features and turns out to just be a visual overhaul more than it is a saving grace for firmware.

Don't know about you guys, but I thought that was possibly the most boring conference I've ever followed and personally I think he did a crap job of hyping up the game. Did he really spend 10 minutes talking about touching people? Who cares? I'm a HUGE Fable fan (played them all and loved them all) and I know Fable 3 will be good, but seriously I wish I hadn't stayed up so late to follow that incessantly boring conference.

This guy also has his facts off a bit. The PS3 slim's hard drive IS upgradeable and he lists it as not.
So a gamer is going to walk in to best buy and say, "you know, I think i'll get that iPod over that Wii/PS3/360/PSP/DS because it's just sooo good at gaming and that's what I want".
Sorry, don't see it happening. The iPod is not taking people away from other gaming platforms. It's just another product in this industry that people are also buying.
