You guys are crazy, the 360's number 1 selling point is free games! You didn't know!? I seriously have friends who have never bought, rented, borrowed a single game for 360 simply because everything is pirated with ease. If I wasn't such a law abiding citizen I'd do the same.
360 accounts being hacked isn't anything new... MS has always proven that this is one area that they aren't so great at. But, what's admittedly embarrassing (and hilarious) is when a high ranking employee has their account hacked. If that's not a slap in the face to your 'standards' then I don't know what is.
IGN's redesigns have definitely made it difficult to browse their because nothing is where you expect it to be and requires a ton of extra clicks. But really, I stopped visiting IGN quite some time ago when I saw them start posting a bunch of flame bait articles as if they were a fan site for cheap hits. GameSpot I can't browse either cause their design is a real mess, especially the game and review pages where info is just all over the damn place. For the most part I don't actually read too ...
I don't really care for a slim, but a redesigned 360 for me is a must. The current one is built like crap with its 1994 cheap sounding disk tray, overpriced wi-fi adapter and cheap black plastic. It's an eyesore in my entertainment system and they definitely need a nicer one that looks like they actually put some effort into designing it and not just building it as cheap as humanly possible to save as much money on production as they could.
Even the Wii has more design quality th...
Seriously, f u Sony. I thought all future games were "required" to have digital copies AND umd copies. That's proof that Sony isn't even standing behind their own product and I'm all ready pissed that I can't get Crisis Core for PSP Go so this just confirms that I'm selling that crap immediately.
ODST was 4 hours long. So stfu please.
what some people referring to is that the 360 does not (and cannot) meet the minimum requirement to output a true 3D HD image, which refers to a bare minimum of HDMI 1.4 (360 is not upgradeable to this) for true 3D pass through at 120mhz. This means that 3D games for 360 won't be HD, but will be sub HD and also limits the types of games they can use because it won't be able to render 'fast motioned games' fast enough for your eyes to keep up. In other words stuff will either look slow or it w...
The reason digital downloads won't take off any time soon is that a lot of people trade their games in if it has no replay value (which a lot are just beat it once and it's done). You can't trade in a digital copy so a lot of people will opt for a disk given the choice. Digital only works for smaller things like music for now, but will be a ways before it's the masses in gaming.
And MS talking about digital downloads is the future is ironic given not all of the 360's even have a...
Pretty sure a review is just a person's opinion. So, how can a person's opinion be wrong? It's their opinion. It's not as if their reviews are set in stone and are all things true and equal in this world. It's a review. It's just meant to give people a perspective.
Also, how in the world is HHG going to try to call out IGN and GameSpot when in actuality HHG is sort of like the flavor of the month with retarded fans? The fact that one site is essentially bashing another site a...
Like I said in my article, I play TF2 perfectly fine at max settings on my iMac 3.06GHZ C2D with ATI 4850 via bootcamp. So it's not as "intensive" as you think it is. And with newer iMacs having mobile Core i7's and i5's shouldn't be a problem
If you're running one of the iMacs in the past 2 years with the ATI 4850 you can play the games they mentioned at pretty high settings. Those games are not high graphics cards games. Hell, even slightly older machines from Apple shouldn't have a problem playing Team Fortress or Half-Life. L4D on an older machine might just have to played on slightly lower res on anything older than 4850.
I have the 4850 iMac from last year (the C2D version and not the Core i5/i7 models) and I pla...
360 version probably just means the lead platform is 360 and I'm sure they just want to demo the version they started with. No different than Square only sending the PS3 version of FFXIII to everyone for review (lead platform/best version). They did say that Blur should be equal on both machines, lets hope cause I'd like to use my Logitech wheel with this on my PS3 if it's solid.
This whole thing by Examiner and 360 having a better score anyway is stupid in general because there are far less 360 reviews than the PS3, but there are also reviews from certain companies on the PS3 version that are NOT on the 360 side. For example, Edge gave the game a 50, but that score is only showing the PS3 review of MetaCritic and not the 360. Obviously they will score the games the same, so that score alone when added to the 360 side would knock the score down. Also missing from 360 ...
Whenever I see an editor pull a review it means he's trying to follow the trend of other sites and not give his own opinion. I read the review that was up and the editor pretty much hated the game. He hated the linearity, said it didn't feel like an RPG and while I don't think I'll share his same feelings when I get the game I respect him for saying WHAT HE THOUGHT.
But, now that they pulled the review I'm sure the game will get a "much more in line" 8-9 just so they ca...
As long as you attach a 'score' to anything there will always be a mass amount of people who will only look at the score. No matter how much thought you put into an article, the majority of consumers only care about the score. The trick the industry needs to do is simple: get rid of the score (we all know it will never happen, but it should). Getting rid of the score would essentially force people to read your opinion and come to their own decision, as opposed to just seeing a score where ev...
So, other than connecting to a PC, this is essentially Remote Play for PSP, PS3 and Sony Ericsson phones. Welcome to several years ago Microsoft? For those without a PS3/PSP or Sony Ericsson device you will understand that from what we can tell from this video there is nothing that this is doing that Sony's Remote Play doesn't do other than also allow for the games to be played on PC (which isn't actually a feature Sony controls unless they also make the game...that's a developer decision wha...
Well you have to keep in mind that they are referring to when the game was an exclusive announcement. Also, for many fans of the game it still is THE reason they purchased their PS3, so while it may be multiplatform anyway they are still probably picking it up for PS3 and will be just as happy.
It's one of the games I've been itching to play a lot as well, alongside God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, hopefully some Twisted Metal Love and hell I'd love to see a damn Rogue Galaxy, Shado...
At least the Sony Force won't come out in this review since GI clearly included the following at the bottom to keep them at bay:
"Final Fantasy XIII is an excellent game regardless of what system you're playing on. However, the Xbox 360 version's graphics are a few steps behind, with noticeable compression in the cutscenes and less impressive lighting. It's enough for me to recommend the PS3 version if you have the option, but 360 gamers shouldn't feel too slighted; the vis...
See, this is exactly what I mean. People don't read. If you actually click on the 360 review (not the PS3 link that's here) and READ IT, they did edit the 360 review to include this in the 4th paragraph:
"Textures and cutscenes are surprisingly blurry at times, and the game lacks the high-resolution crispness of its PlayStation 3 counterpart. Yet Final Fantasy XIII still looks lovely, and few rare frame rate drops aside, nearly every battle and every leg of the journey moves...
Conviction will come to PS3. Every other Splinter Cell game has gone to PlayStation within a few short months after it's been on Xbox. I don't even know why they keep saying exclusive cause none of them have been exclusive.
