It also proves you can have a soulslike game with different difficulty levels and it doesn't ruin the experience of anyone else.
The problem is how unreliable and outdated the sign system is, sometimes it works, a lot of the time it doesn't, and when it works there's still a high chance of getting disconnected for no apparent reason. The article points out that there is a better way of doing it.
It's clunky no matter how you look at it. Constant connection problems, no way of simply joining your friend or inviting them to a game aside from setting up a password on the summoning system. In ER sometimes the summon mark shows up, sometimes not, sometimes it shows up but nothing happens when you use it. Don't get me wrong, I love ER, it's a great game, but they're using a vastly outdated co-op system.
I believe it's more about the size of the studio and the budget behind the game, which should translate to higher standards. Bugs and glitches have almost always been in games to some degree though. The difference is that the bigger and more complex games get, the higher the likelyhood that the game has bugs. And at the end of the day, no matter how high budget a game is, it's still (mostly) humans working on it. The bigger the studio, the more people (in most cases) are involved. And...
How delusional must you be to think those games were apolitical? Hate to break it to you, but if you're upset about the content in todays games, that's a you problem.
And based on your comment, you seem like the old generation who can't seem to grasp the concept that things change. All FF games have been different, that's the point. They have their core similarities and overarching themes and characters, but they're meant to be their own games. Catch up with the times gramps.
Honestly, if you liked FFXVI then I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy FFXIV (the mmo). You can really tell Yoshi-P's influence in both of those games, and thematically the plot has many similarities and visually very similar artstyle. You can also tell a lot of the assets in 16 are things that have been recycled from 14, just polished ofc (not a bad thing, just something I noticed after having played a lot of 14 in the past.). Admittedly the story in A Realm Reborn (the base game) is a bit...
I think you're saying "fantasy" while meaning something completely different, or you're just baiting for the sake of arguing...
Tell me you're an incel without telling me you're an incel... Go back to your cave, troll.
What are you even trying to accomplish with this? Do you just enjoy disagree votes or have a degradation kink?
"Controversial" opinions attract traffic. Everyone here commenting and questioning the article are lifting it up on N4G and up go the clicks to the article. And yes, I realize my comment is adding to the problem.
Maybe you should consider a different game series, or just straight up look at something other than games if having a "waifu" is such a high priority...
"I am saying is stop beating the same drum and or the past"
I mean sure it seems to be set in the "past" but it does seem like a fresh take compared to what we've gotten in the past. And it seems like it's gonna be a more grassroot level plot so it won't necessarily even connect with excisting lore in any major way. Regardless, we've seen very little, so it's a bit early to draw any conclusion one way or the other.

"But last few years they have been rewriting solid lore and story to fit the last trilogy"
Such as? I admit there has been a lot of stuff added into the timelime, but I don't think there's a lot that changes or touches excisting lore too much.
"She could have been a rebel eventually or become a smuggler helping with cargo shipments through that show off a droid like they did in rebels."
I don't understand what you're say...
Survivor was limited to a fairly small area of the galaxy, mainly Koboh, and the game literally explains how they were brought back "online" so to speak and programmed to serve the raiders. I think you underestimate how big a galaxy is.
As for them being hostile or not, we've seen restraining bolts ever since a New Hope and in the prequel era the battle droids were usually remotely controlled. Once those restraints are removed it makes sense that these droids ...
If we're talking about N4G, then evidently no
"The only "gameplay" we've seen from these so-called live service games is Helldivers 2, and that looks freaking amazing. Also, the trailer for Marathon apparently beat out Spider-Man 2 trailer for views and traction after the showcase. Millions are interested."
Helldivers 2 trailer has less than 300k views, Marathon trailer has less than 500k views, and Spider-Man 2 has 9,7m views (Comparing on Playstation's channel on youtube), not really sure...
I agree, the whole VR concept is cool, and I enjoyed the part of the story where they got trapped in the game. Good horror vibes back then. It's the weird ass harem, tentacle, insest themes that bother me.
The anime was alright in the beginning, but then it just turns into a werid sexualized pedoshow.
Okay but why should someone have to grind to level 150lvl to make the game easier, when it could be done by simply choosing a difficulty level? I get that it's not difficult to grind necessarily, but not everyone has the time to do that either. Having a difficulty setting does not take away from anyone's experience.
And absolutely agreed with accessibility options, but even those are laughably limited in even the most recent FS games.
