The cheap Splatoon knockoff failed? Shocking.
Okay admittedly I'm only 7h hours in, but so far I haven't felt like I'm missing out on anything without the MTX stuff. I mean sure if I was extremely lazy I might be tempted but the MTX currency is easily available in game already.
I have tried multiple times, each time only because I somehow always end up forgetting how bad it really is...
There's a comic by Warric Wong about the Pokemon war, it's pretty cool
Maybe I'm just oversimplifying this in my head, but if a bunch of people bought it right away on launch, then obviously less people will buy it in the following weeks? I mean it's not like people are gonna buy multiple copies.
Aaand still no fix for friend request... You'd think a game that is online only, and is designed to be played with friends would work a bit harder on fixing this...
Agreed, I wish they had "realistic" colours as a default, but then a "Show all colours" toggle for those who want it. It's a single player game so it's not like you're effecting anyone elses experience.
And in a shocking turn of events, all the comments criticising N4G are marked as inappropriate...
It's a fun game (based on the beta) but not even remotely worth the pricetag. I'd say 20-30€ would be closer, but even then I'd wait for a sale. Especially when you compare it to Black Flag, and realize a 10 year old game looks better than this "quadruple-A" game...
Based on the open beta, I thought it was fun, I really did.... Just, not 70€ fun. If it was on the 20-30€ range then I'd consider buying it, but as it stands, I'll wait for a ps plus monthly or something. Calling it a quadruple-A game is some special level delulu.
Edit: Just went to remove it from my wishlist, it's actually 80€
Can you use the Access controller instead?
Bought it during the recent sale and I agree, it is actually a lot of fun and plays great now. And I think it's possible to acknowledge that it is a good game now and highlight the improvements, while also remembering that they messed up hard at launch. I think it's important to keep in mind how they screwed us over (be it because of Sony pressuring or not), and that we don't just forgive and forget. Because if we do, they'll take it as a sign that they can release Witcher 4 (...
I loved the concept, enjoyed flying around and customizing my suit. Too bad it was a failure in most other aspects though, and that they scrapped their 2.0 plans.
That said, I find it outrageous that while the game is still up and running, the in game shop has like 4-5 items that refresh 1/week and the shop basically uses a f2p format. The game failed, and they're not working on it anymore, just make the items more easily available for those few who still play it from ...
Bethesda Desperately Wants Modders To Fix Starfield for them, Since They're Mostly Done Milking Skyrim*
Ooof, yeah no thanks on the GaaS. I admit playing a game with a custom Spidey would be fun, picking from various builds and abilities across known Spiders. Maybe it could work in a similar format as the recent Attack on Titan games? Different missions across an alternate Manhattan with an main story arc, and optional co-op.
Dear Darcy, It's been a shit year for games like cod because the year has been filled with truly impressive masterpieces like Baldurs Gate 3, Remnant 2, Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2. Obviously they're going to be salty because their lazy cashgrabs are finally exposed for how trash they are. It has been a great year for games and gamers.
Used up my free trial recently just to experience 2.0, and was actually pleasantly surprised. I'm still a bit salty from the day one experience though, but I will add this to my wishlist to wait for a sale.
True, but a built in preview would be nice too, but then again svaving before dyeing works too in a pinch. Also found this reddit post that has them catalogued by armor/clothing typed which ended up being very handy:

Oh is this one of the incels who also thought Ellie & Abby (TLoU), Mary-Jane (Spider-Man) and Aloy (Horizon) were ugly?
Don't get me wrong, I hate the way Ubisoft is selling (renting?) their games too, but this weird crying when women in games don't fit their distorted ideas of beauty is just ridiculous. Whether they're your "type" or not, there is nothing ugly about Kay Vess or any of the other women I mentioned before.
