Yeah Witcher 3 streamlined battle prep quite a bit. Witcher 1 and 2 if you didnt prep properly for defense and offense you were screwed.

Witcher 3 only felt that way if you played on the hardest

@Rice

Where are you guys getting this info? Everything I'm seeing is that they expected a slight loss, but would make a profit on additional software sales.

Almost all consoles are sold at a loss, but they make up for it with software and services etc.

Sony confirmed it with PS4:

The delivery is the whole game, one could say.

@Tyler

Oh you mean chapter 4 where it just turns into a boring corridor shooter with the easiest boss fight ever? oooOOOOoo so cool.

"Do you mean to say that silence indisputably denotes bad news? It's fine if you do, as long you are willing to apply that metric to the green team who has been very mum these past few d̶a̶y̶s̶ m̶o̶n̶t̶h̶s̶ years about sales, switching metrics entirely (unless, of course, they're not dead last because they like to, as you say, scream about sales)."

Yes, MS switching to MAU instead of sales numbers and staying mostly quiet about ...

Not only the media, but the industry in general speaks of Kojima as if he is an undisputed genius. The way they spun the konami and Kojima split and hyped his own studio and now that he is has unbridled creative freedom we will get the game of the decade.

It's also funny how they have been so quiet about its sales only announcing it sold well in Japan and it was the the best selling new IP game only in UK. It debuted #2 in uk but quickly dropped...

Commercial or industry success? They couldn't let Kojima have an utter flop of a game or else all the bolstering and hype would have made them look really bad.

But didnt a Japanese game win GotY? And in my opinion the far superior one at that.

Me too, because Death Stranding wasn't it, but still looking forward to what they do next.

Two or three? Lol okay. What about 4/10's?

@ D-Rail

What about all the fanboy/Bot 10/10's? How come none of those were removed? Convenient that only negative Bot scores were deleted

2263d ago 4 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah... maybe Meta can delete some more lower user scores to bump it up some more.

Hence why I put the AAAA in quotes because I too think it's a dumb statement. I think it's just dumb posturing bragging about the larger budget.

Then I clarified that they do have a lot of AAA in the works so Obscures "wishful hopes" arent all that farfetched. Now if you want to argue possible quality of these, then I'd be fine with that

2264d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

That's fair. You can easily question the quality of these titles for sure. Even games you would think are easy slam dunks failed the Xbox One like Halo 5.

Announced is different then what's in the works. We know Playground Games is working on a AAA, we know The Initiate is working on "AAAA", we know Obsidian is working on a AAA, we know InXile is working on AAA, we now know the AAA game Ninja Theory is working on. I dont know yet if we can consider Rares new game EverWild a AAA until we see the scope of the game...

We know all this is coming, but you're right, what has been officially announced is Halo, Forz...

Seems like it turned out with them buying or creating 10 studios and then expanding those teams even bigger to where they each have 2 teams.

Pretty soon MS will rely less on grabbing 3rd deals when they are launching 5 or so 1st party games a year.
