Minecraft and MLB The Show are the only two first party games that will be on all consoles. Not sure how this is a prelude to no more console exclusives. Sure, more console exclusives will go to PC next gen, with MS already doing that, and Sony dipping their toe in. But that doesn't mean games like Halo or God of War are going to be on competing console platforms lol

Just because a VERY small handful of 1st party games are on all consoles doesn't mean exclusives don't matter. What I am seeing, however, are more games going to PC as well but still keeping console exclusivity. Most console gamers will not invest in rigs instead of buying another console that is cheaper than building a comparable PC. Especially when you consider that most console industry are mostly casuals.

I dont know, I think Hellblade 2 is having some folks thinking about picking up the Series X. A lot of interest for it right now. There are still plenty of things to reveal so I wouldn't prematurely say Sony or Nintendo fans wont be buying an Xbox.

@Ultra

That's a pretty ambitious launch line up. I have a feeling it's going to be similar to the PS4 launch where it was pretty sparse on the 1st party. Mostly filled with 3rd party deals as they ramp up the big boys for the rest of the gen.

Remember, PS4 only had Killzone and Knack as your Sony launch games. I'm not sure you're getting GT, Killzone, Ratchet, and 2 new IP's at launch.

Between that feature and GamePass. I'm not going to have to drop a bunch of extra money. I'll be able to buy the Series X and play Halo Inifnite on GamePass and still split screen co-op with my current controllers.

They also restructured it a little bit. The bumpers are different and the triggers are textured. It also has a hybrid d-pad similar to the Elite controller. But there is still some info not confirmed ie will it have a rechargeable battery? Phil did say they learned from the Elite controller and I believe the Elite 2 has a built in battery.

You can get MUCH cheaper phones than the $1k iPhones and Samsung's which will still call and text, which are the only real necessities of a phone.

@WGAF

Yeah for sure, but I'm also sure you'll be able to disable it

I'd say wait for $29.99 or under for this one JUST in case the gameplay loop doesnt jive with you. Seems to be something people either like or despise.

They don't have trigger tension on the fly. Joycons don't even have trigger tension at all, they aren't even analog triggers lol. The Elite 2 controller has thumbstick tension control, but only has trigger stops, not resistance.

Could have some interesting uses like drawing a bow string, making different guns pull different i.e. a double action revolver requires a stronger pull than I semi auto glock etc.

That will block its exhaust vent tho! Lol

If its $599 then this may be the first console I'd be okay with for a couple reasons:

1. My GamePass Ultimate is paid for which means I already get Halo Infinite, Forza 8, and whatever other launch exclusives they have which saves me money.

2. I don't need to buy extra controllers since all my Xbox One controllers will work with it.

Obviously I'd like it at $499, but in this specific case I think I can justify the $599.

@Cheif

That bundles all their games at launch lol

I cant wait to roll into next gen with my already paid for Ultimate sub. Cant beat that price.

Honestly it makes the price of $600 easier to swallow since I dont have to buy games or extra controllers at launch since the Xbone controllers work with it also

Switch 2 A Traditional Console

Halo Infinite, Forza 8 launch
Hellblade 2, Forza Horizon 2021
Everwild, Playground RPG 2022
The Initiate game, Gears 6 2023
Obsidian RPG, InXile 2024

In between will be side project games and such as well. Also Undead Labs and Compulsion will have their AA games between.

Next gen MS has a much better idea of what they're doing it feels like.

Agreed. Launch will be Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport 8, likely a couple 3rd party deals like GodFall, and then of course the normal 3rd party games.

We still have no idea on the RPG playground games has been working on the last couple years. I think that will launch after Hellblade 2 though.
