@rice
But I have played Death Stranding. And CD3 campaign was fun, I enjoyed CD1 as well and 3 was basically a prettier bigger version of that.
I wouldn't put it in any best of lists though for sure.
@oldboy
Yes the MP still had the destruction, but it was scaled back a lot
@King
I think Storylab just helps them with some mocap and stuff. They have taken down that new IP project. I think it was mistake or a placeholder thing for Gears 5.
Maybe unless they have a big surprise The Coalition is only working on Gears IP whether that is main line entries or spin offs I think they are solely Gears.
Not a bad game, just a really disappointing one.
I still enjoyed CD3 for it basically being an updated version of the first game, but the cloud destruction being scaled back so much was a big disappointment.
I'm pretty sure The Initiate stated they are doing a 3rd person action adventure. Obsidian is hiring for an AAA RPG, but I believe they said it would be first person.
Damned if they do, damed if they don't. Some people will never be happy with anything MS does.
Exactly.
Likely because they weren't big sellers. Banjo Kazooie sold 3.6mil... Banjo Tooie only sold 1.5mil. That is a big drop off in sales.
And Conker was a major flop sales wise. MS tried to get some interest back in it with the Xbox Live Arcade release and such but it likely didnt do well either.

MS is giving these teams a lot of freedom. Outside of Kinect Sports they have had full freedom. Kameo, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Viva Pinata, Sea of Thieves, Everwild....
The reason Nintendo let Rare's shares go is because their games didnt sell that well. Then during the bidding war between MS and Activision a lot of the main people who created Rare left. Then they tried Banjo Nuts and Bolts, they tried Perfect Dark Zero... both not doing well. So it makes sense why they would move away from these and start new IP's.
Rare Replay was their acknowledgement of their past and I think that's where it needs to lay because Rare now is ...
Tbf I actually really enjoyed TLoU MP and Uncharted had some fun MP. Tomb Raider was a disaster though for sure haha
Yes.
@multiconsolegamers
Let's not act like Sony is a saint here and never takes shots at MS.
@Tross
A fairly bad gen will humble people haha
The people who wish for Xbox's or PS' failure are crazy to me. As an industry we need all 4 platforms succeeding and putting out quality stuff.
@bluepet
Lol okay but that's not what we're talking about.
@blue
Better price, native downloads for Xbox and PC, newer and more relevant games, day 1 releases... xCloud has better servers and uses the games you already own, unlike PSNow.
@ciporta
It offered a better price model before PSNow changed, it offers an ultimate bundle that has Live and GamePass for PC, it supported native downloads before PSNow, it supports native downloads for PC, it supports newer games and day one MS published games.
And now that Xcloud is coming out, PSNow wont even have streaming over MS.
@bluepets
What's wrong about what I said? Were they not the first ones to bring a service based streaming platform to stream games on a console?
@generic
It did have a big impact on me. It made me realize that Kojima isnt perfect. I was hoping he would come back strong after the disappointing MGSV and kill it with DS, but dang this game was not for me. I would have rather played MGSV again...
