I'll agree to this, but I will also say that not every game NEEDS to have a deep impactful story with characters. Sometimes I enjoy a game because of the gameplay and the story is just a bonus if it's good.
I know I'll get lambasted for this, but this is why I preferred the old God of War. It put high action and combat before a touching story. Nor saying the new GoW has bad combat, but it's certainly not on the level of the old games where you can pull off ...
This particular hire isn't exciting, but they have snagged much better people from ND, Sony Santa Monica, Rockstar, and other quality teams. I think that is why purple are getting excited for The Initiative. But yeah, this particular hire isn't really worth an article or getting excited about haha

They desperately need a ND or Sony Santa Monica caliber dev on their team. 343 and The Coalition are great, but they back slid a bit with their recent game. I'm expecting gears 5 and halo infinity to be much better tho.
That being said, having another top tier dev like the initiative along with other quality devs like Nina Theory and Obsidian... I'm actually very intrigued for Xbox first party support now.
If you watch that gif and continue the narrative that this game could run on the 360 then you need mental help.

I played the Wrecking Zone as him and his little one liners and yelling and such are great. Terry fits Crackdown's explosive style perfectly.
Apparently this guy is drunk by how often he needs to look down at his controller to figure out what his health is instead of paying attention to the characters behavior and the health indicator in the inventory menu. And he is apparently drunk as well if he needs a massive touch pad to make it easier for him to pull up a map lol

I don't know where your TV is, but mine is mounted up on my wall to where I need to tilt my head back a little bit. Regardless, I'm paying attention to the screen, not what faint color my controller or fingers are changing to.
I like the DS4, I think it's the best dual shock made. I just find these features are pointless tbh and doesn't really enhance any experience.

This article is silly. The light bar is a health indicator in many games and who even pays attention to that? Who is looking down at their controller? And using the touch pad to bring up your map is something special? And the controller speaker has been used multiple times for sound effects as well.

Well for right now they are branching to phones and the Switch, both platforms that need a better dedicated online service. Obviously with phones it will be more for the Xbox streaming service, that way you can play GamePass games on your phone which include far more than just Xbox games.
Phil already said that they are continuing to make hardware, unless you're talking more like 10-20 years from now... it's hard to tell really.
How is that possible when they are planning on branching out and expanding XBOX even more? They even bought a bunch of studios and renamed the division Xbox Games Studios.
That's just good business. More Xbox live enabled devices out there, the more revenue they can pull in to fund their Netflix service they want to create. They won't stop selling Xbox's though.
