Essentially all your replies are "well MS did it first!". Which I find funny, because Sony has been in the game business for longer and is equally guilty of buying 3rd party games and content for exclusivity.
The same people who are pissed that MS did it are now the people saying "well it's okay because it's a taste of their own medicine". No. It was wrong when MS did it and it's wrong when Sony does it.
OR Both sides needs...
Yeah the SP is looking to be a blast. I'm still a bit worried if the MP will have the legs to entertain for long. They need a well made progression system for MP and new maps at a decent schedule.
Hopefully The Initiative becomes MS's Naughty Dog. They need a world class studio like ND.
Since when had a tech demo ever made it to the full version of a game? Remember every gen they always have tech demos for new engines, new tech and such. It rarely ever gets put into a game fully.
It's crazy how this MP is getting so many polarizing opinions. Some are loving the destruction, and some are disappointed it's not destruction like shown in the 2015 tech demo.
SoT uses it, Forza uses it, Titanfall used it. It's just crackdown 3 is using it on a much larger scale.
Lol no. It just needs to get back to its roots and provide a good campaign with split screen.
The last thing it needs to do is become an over the shoulder 3rd person cinematic adventure game. MS has Gears for that.
Well that's good. Listening to the fan base is always a good thing
@goldby
Huh? What does that have to do with anything I said.
You know, not every game needs to be some story driven cinematic game. Sometimes games can be games for the gameplay. Giving you full freedom to use the mechanics and world however you want from the get go.
Well it seems they have been improving with that. They are allowing Gears to branch out and possibly go semi open world, same for Halo if the Infinite rumors are true. Rare had full creative license and they came up with SoT, they may have needed a bit more direction haha
With InXile and Obsidian we are almost guaranteed some great RPG's. With Ninja Theory we are almost guaranteed a good story driven action adventure game. With Playground Games second studio I'm sure we will get another fantastic open world game.
Its hard to say what we will get from The Initiative, but judging from the talent they are snagging it's going to probably be a pretty epic action adventure game. Who knows from Compulsion games after We Happy Few, and I...
It's fine in the SP because to lock onto critical spots faster with accuracy you needed to level up so there was some progression. The online however looks like you just lock onto their chest and unload.
You realize that a couple months back they passed 5 million players, and have been in the top 5 of Twitch? The game has plenty of people playing.
Lol at this and rainslacker. The games that have come out on GamePass so far have been long into development before GP was even a thing. What about games like Forza Horizon 4, Ori 2, Gears 5, Halo Infinite and such? Are these games not going to be worth the GamePass sub?
You think Ninja Theory is going to just phone in their next game? What about The Initiate which stated they wanted to make a AAAA game and have been scooping up top talent?
Yes, so far GP...
@DaGreatOne
Spider-Man wasn't comic book style... it had realistic graphics. Crackdown 3 is going for the comic book look, while Spider-Man didn't. It's just an art style choice, it's not like the Xbox can't handle realistic graphics.
It's not first party. But complaining about a cell shaded art style is silly, it's the art style that works best for this game since it's supposed to be a comic book hero type game.
Yes because it was a simple decision of "either or" ... /s
But yet the switch is missing so many big named 3rd party games..
I just love that people think buying up 3rd party exclusives/content started with MS with the 360. Must be the young generation who thinks that.
Or a certain fanboy hive mind...
