The lack of long hair for femshep in Mass Effect really annoyed me. Hopefully they will let you change things like hairstyle at the beginning; without having to completely re-customise the same look just with different hair.

The RRP of games is now £49.99 ($81.50) but £54.99 ($90.20) for CoD and other big EA or Activision games. However the majority of (good) retailers sell games at 39.99 ($65.65) or even cheaper, depending on the game.

No way:

1. Many places don't have fast enough internet to download full games in any reasonable amount of time, many places don't even have broadband yet.

2. Prices would always be set at the RRP, like the ridiculous £49.99 ($81.50) for Mass Effect 2 on the Playstation store.

3. possibility of limited re-downloads, I don't want to have to buy a game again if I buy a new console.

4. It's more a matter of p...

Agreed, one my friends, at my recommendation, bought the GOTY edition in a steam sale. He played it for an hour, told me it was boring and repetitive, and hasn't played it since.

Some people may enjoy games that recieves poor review, or no awards. Vice-versa some people might not enjoy a critically acclaimed game.

Exactly, it makes absolutely no difference to the majority of Mass Effect players. I hate the default Shepards. The whole point is that you customise your Shepard's appearance. I have no idea why people are so bothered about this? I didn't even bother to vote, and I love Mass Effect.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that the film is set during the First Contact Wars, so really it's not a typical game->film adaptation. They just have to get the basics of the Mass Effect universe right, which shouldn't be that hard...

Not only does it look exactly like Modern Warfare 2, but the screenshots are at a higher resolution then in-game. They are 720p but CoD on Xbox and PS3 is 600p.

Quite disappointing. I was hoping they would improve the engine and graphics, and get back to the solid gameplay of CoD 4, but at the moment it seems they are improving nothing and going for the over-the-top action of MW2.

Seriously just GTFO. If you love Modern Warfare so much, and obviously hate Battlefield, why do you even bother reading Battlefield articles? Do yourself, and everybody else, a favour and stop trolling Battlefield articles.

The first Mass Effect was published by Microsoft; so it has NO chance of ever being on PS3. The intro motion comic goes over the main choices in Mass Effect, but unfortunately PS3 players do miss out on some minor details and choices.

So how are your shares in Microsoft doing. I presume you have some, otherwise why would you be talking about sales instead of the quality of games, that you as a gamer, enjoy playing?

I was going to rant about the article, but it looks like you covered everything I was going to say. Well said.

Yeah the general layout is the same, but they will probably alter the props a bit; like putting in railings to limit deathcharge spots.

DLC is a great thing if it offers new content that is worth the cost, sure they could offer it for free (like Valve) but they have worked to create it.

DLC that is locked on the disc, or is cut from the game to sell later, is ruining gaming. The industry should be regulated properly and this practice should be illegal. All content started before the game releases should either be released free, or the game should be delayed to add the content.

I'm sick of all of the PC and Console fanboys.

PCs are (on the whole) more powerful than consoles, due to being able to upgrade: FACT

PCs do not have to be mega expensive to play games at higher graphical quality than console: FACT

Neither has "better games" it is purely opinion: FACT

Just because you play at 1080p with 4x AA, doesn't mean you are better than a console gamer; they still experience the same g...

I disagree, I think many snipers are helping their team more than you realise. They are distracting the enemy (a sniper is a nuisance), often they are killing enemies on their way to kill you, they quite often draw a lot of enemies to hunt them down.

However many of them could help a lot more: moving forward with their team, covering objectives, spotting targets (in Battlefield, or by mic in other games) and not sniping when there are another 3 or 4 snipers next to them.

If both next-gen consoles are motion-based, and casual based, that is me abandoning console gaming. I love Console exclusives, but if thats the way they are heading; then I'm going to be solely a PC gamer.

I do get wanting to see her face, but wouldn't it kinda ruin the mystery? I think they should reveal the face of another Quarian, and from that you can imagine what Tali looks like.

It's the RRP THQ set. If you actually look at the RRP of most games they are £54.99 or at least £49.99; as it is digitally distributed THQ control the pricing, rather than a store selling it at the usual £40 mark.

I can get it here ( http://www.shopto.net/PS3/V... ) for £25.85. So I agree that it is a total rip-off.

you obviously either haven't played, or don't recall, the end of Uncharted 2.

Not keen on digital distribution, for arcade and indie games under 1GB it's fine. Any bigger an it takes an age to download on my connection; some areas here don't even have broadband yet. When I am going to buy a game on Steam I always check if the disc version uses steam, it's just easier and usually cheaper.
