Battlefield 3, Skyrim and Uncharted 3 for me. Will pick up Assassins Creed later, usually drops in price quite rapidly online.
Love Uncharted, not so keen on it's multiplayer. But that's probably due to matchmaking issues in UC2, as well as grenade spam. I'll give it a go it UC3, but for me Uncharted is all about the single player.
It's set between Aliens and Alien 3. They are investigating what happened to the Marine squad from Aliens.
count yourself lucky, even after the price drop the PS3 is £199 ($327) in the UK, and 250 Euros ($359) in the rest of Europe.
However that is with 20% tax (in the UK at least) + exchange rates.
Of course it's harder to max PC. Consoles have standardised hardware, once you have pulled out every bit of juice from them: you know the game will run the same on every machine. On PC you have to work with many different combinations and optimise them to run as well as possible on every one. Which I imagine is very time consuming and difficult, but the results are amazing.
What? Uncharted frequently allows game-play in action scenes that in other games would be cut-scenes. There is also a lot of dialogue between character during game-play. Cut-scenes are(mostly)only used when essential.
Example of action sequence that would usually be a cutscene:

Good for me. Now I can buy the disk version and install it to Steam, rather than downloading it on my horrible internet connection.
I thought I was the only one... I think female game characters always look better with red hair. The guys at Ninja Theory obviously think the same way though, judging by Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, but they seem to be the only ones.
One thing I cannot stand in an online game is having no server browser, I don't understand why more games don't have them. Battlefield 3 just keeps getting better and better.
I actually checked the resolution, because I thought they were bullshots, they are that good, but it's 1280x720 just like the game. Doesn't stop AA and other effects being added though, but I hope they weren't.
If these are actual screens then it looks like Uncharted 3 looks even better than I expected, can't wait for 1/11/11 (11/1/11 in your USA dates)
I would be interested in Alan Wake and Halo, not sure about Fable because I've never played it. I've played Gears and didn't enjoy it, but I'm sure others would. I already own L4D2 on PC.
The only games I've ever missed not having an Xbox 360 (at least the ones I'm bothered about) are Alan Wake, Halo and possibly Fable. Which tbh isn't worth the cost of the console and Live (for Halo).
I know this game will do extremely well on PC saleswise, and will no doubt be awesome (but different) on every platform. However to the average PS3 or Xbox 360, the majority of which would not know Counter-Strike, will just see a rubbish PSN/Arcade shooter and probably won't bother to buy it. I think it will be a lot more successful if Valve did a full retail release.
I haven't played most of these games, however I disagree about L.A. Noire. I enjoyed the game greatly, apart from the later stages after a certain something happens to Cole and his career, which I felt was rushed and did not suit Cole's character.
Also, good job using a screenshot from Dragon Age:Origins for the Dragon Age 2 entry. It's clearly Redcliffe village, you can see Leliana as well.
Apart from the fact that this game isn't made by Rockstar, it's being made by iNKstories; a company founded by two former Rockstar employees. So it's probably not Agent. One of them also worked on Alan Wake and Homefront, as well as the PS2 GTA games.
Microsoft has 11? What are they doing with those studios? I mean there is Forza and Halo (the new dev for Halo 4) that is First-Party, so what do all the rest of them make? I'm not trying to troll, I'm just honestly interested why microsoft have so few quality first-party games when they have 11 studios.
Seriously, people are still moaning about this? Create your own character! Do people really use the default Shepard? They are awful, at least the new FemShep looks better than the default male Shepard.
The characters were a lot more interesting and engaging, and I felt you get to know them better. I didn't like Ashley and Kaiden; Garrus and Tali were also a lot more interesting in ME2. The only character I missed was Wrex, who was poorly replaced by Grunt.
The controls and overall gameplay was also (on the whole) better. I actually like the thermal clips, but would prefer a hybrid system. The only thing I missed from ME was crouch.
The Mako sections in ...
Advertising is probably the reason, game advertising (on TV at least) is weak in the UK, but this game was advertised to death; sometimes with more than one ad per set of adverts.
Yet again I get the "I don't like it, so it shouldn't be in the game" for an OPTIONAL feature. Would it hurt to allow greater customisation by having the option for long hair? Miranda and various other military NPCs have long hair throughout the last two games.
Anyway it looks like there is long hair in ME3, looking at these pictures. All I was saying is that I hope they let you just change your characters hairstyle, instead of having to completely re-do the...
Looks like the PS3 version is missing SSAO or something, but I'm not a graphics expert so I could be wrong. This is the biggest difference in quality I've seen in a long while, I'm quite disappointed. I thought Devs were starting to get the hang of multiplatform development, but this proves that some still need to work on it.
