There are so many other games that can be named, but I kept it to best 5 all time IMO.
The last time Sony tried to troll Nintendo was in 2010. Then after Sony went on and on about how 3D gaming was the future, Nintendo came out and trolled them harder with the 3DS. Glasses-free 3D.

What do they all have in common? One, they all appealed to both the casual and core gamers. Two, they all were weaker or the weakest of their generations....
Everyone that worked on Killer Instinct is gone from Rare so you wouldn't want them to make another one. Microsoft was trying to renew the rights to the franchise a few months ago. It didn't go through.
Why not just do it as a timed-exclusive? Tecmo is porting over Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge to the 360 and PS3, but they didn't hold the Wii U version and wait to release all simultaneously. And Tecmo is a smaller company than Ubisoft so them having to pay for marketing twice on the game would effect them more than it would Ubisoft. Apparently they aren't phased by such details.

Tim and Chris Stamper, Louise Stamper, Chris Seavor, Chris Tilson (a lot guys named 'Chris' worked on KI :) Mark Betteridge, Ken Lobb, and many others that I can't remember at the moment that worked on Killer Instinct back in the 1990's have either quit Rare or were fired from Rare.
We will never know the reasons why there was never a KI3 was made back then, but now none of the people whom created the game work there so that is the main reason why there is no...
The problem with Rare is that everyone that worked for Rare back in the 1990's is gone. Mark Betterridge, Chris Tilson, Chris Seavor, Tim and Chris Stamper, and many others are all gone. The current Rare staff is completely new. Rare only exists now to make Kinect-based games and avatar updates. Nothing more.

I agree. Nintendo needs something huge to come out of September. With the 3DS price drop they were able to get up off the canvas, but they are still on 'spaghetti-legs' right now and need to land a hay-maker of their own to get back in the fight. Not in terms of this console war(which is basically over with Nintendo winning with the Wii) but going forward int the next generation.

What Sony is really saying is that the PS4 won't come out until they feel it can be more powerful than the Wii U and next XBOX yet still be easy to develop for, cost effective for developers and consumers.
Traditionally the most powerful systems available to do not do very well because the are too expensive for the consumers and to much of a hassle to make games for. It doesn't do Sony any good to make a system so much more powerful that developers have such a hard...
